We just got back from 18 days in Zihuatanejo with 14 days at the Grand. We had the 2 bedroom under the restaurant. At 7am there was noise of setting up for the day and also at closing- we got use to the wake up call every morning and around 7:45am fresh baked rolls and coffee were brought to our unit. On the hill below the infinity pool, an area was leveled for hammocks with table, chairs and lounge chairs. My wife just loved to lay in the hammock with the breeze from bay while she read. We found the food to be excellent. Their tuna fish sandwich on the snack was the best- fresh tuna and not canned. The view from the restaurant looking over the bay and into town is breath taking. The resort area is away from everything and you need to take a taxi everywhere. Now there is a path down to the water with a locked gate so you can walk to La Ropa Beach(the best one in "Z") or over the rock trail to Las Gatas Beach- have to take a boat other wise from the city dock- we did the trail 1 time to Las Gatas and it is not an easy walk.
