We just returned from a great trip to Puerto Vallarta. The Club Regina was very nice. We agree with other reviews - remodeled kitchenettes are real nice and the bathrooms are dated but understand that is the next remodeling phase. The grounds and pool areas just beautiful and well manicured. The on site restaurant Inizio is very good - nice ocean view from their patio seating. They even grow herbs around the area that they use in their cuisine. Pool pretty shaded in areas due to large palms. There is chaise seating in sand area very close to pool which gets all the sun - all day long. NIce restaurants at Marina area - nice walk. Note that many do not take credit cards which was somewhat of a surprise to us on this trip. We have a favorite at the Marina - must try Luigi's Gazebo. Excellent! If you do not see a particular type of dish on the menu Luigi will prepare just as you request. Victor's was very good as well. Be prepared for the little children at Marina selling their wares - sweet little darlings and the smile on their face when you bought was just too cute. They really weren't annoying - they were just there. Wal-Mart is a short taxi drive away for any needed groceries if you plan to prepare your own breakfasts/lunches in your room. Also resort deli is decent with what they have to offer if you need just a couple of items. The employees at this resort were all very friendly, happy and helpful. We had a couple of maintenance requests we needed in our room and their response time was extremely quick. Even did a follow-up call to make sure things were ok. Not bothered with timeshare offers at the resort itself. Trip to downtown PV was great - lots of different shops and another great restaurant pick - Les Distillerie. All in all our trip was wonderful - lot of relax time, book reading, and just enjoying family and one another. If you go - relax and enjoy!

Just returned from a week at Club Regina. Pool area and grounds were very nice. The bathrooms could use an update, but the rooms were clean and nice. Our biggest surprise was how reasonable the prices were at the restaurant. The fish specials were so good we ate diner there 3 nights. Short walk to the Marina and only 80 peso cab fare to the Malecon. We had a great week here.

My wife and I stayed the last week of Jan 2012 and had one of the funniest times. We had a studio with room combo. Although the room was dated, you could see they were updating the units. They were large, spacious and clean. The view was to die for! Staff was great! Located on the beach we took our snorkeling equipment and had a great time enjoying the many fish and new coral forming on the breakers. We enjoyed watching whales breach and playin the bay just off our balcony and beach 3 of the 7 days. The lounge chairs and shade on the beach were wonderful. The gardens and landscaping around the huge pools were well maintained and gorgeous! The food at the resort was reasonably priced but expects Mexican service. Very pleasant but don’t expect speed. The Marina is just down the street and a great selection of food choices. Cabs were easy to come by and a trip to the old town or the boardwalk a must.
We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Went to this place in May 2010 with two other couples and had such a great time. The rooms were a little dated but clean and spacious. Have stayed in Puerto Vallarta five times and this was one of the best. Easy walk to Victors tacuba Restaurant and Tacos and Beer. Very easy walk to Marina. Will definately stay here again.
