We chose Casa Andrea as the location for our family reunion over Christmas/New Year's. Friends who stay here each year highly recommended it it to us and it exceeded our expectations. We wanted a place that was charming and quintessential Mexico, rather than a large hotel where we would have to battle for a pool chair each morning. Casa Andrea exudes charm and it was the perfect setting for our reunion, which included 22 relatives ranging from ages 14-80. We were glad to find that our teen children really appreciated the unique and authentic setting - they didn't even miss the fact that there are no tv's in the rooms (or clocks!). There is one flat screen in the central open library which also includes a DVD player if one must have a screen. The setting is so relaxing that our teens preferred just relaxing by the pool or swimming in the ocean which is just a 2 block walk.- they only watched one movie during our week stay. It was wonderful to have a delicious and relaxing breakfast in the charming patio, surrounded by flowering plants. At no time did we see any cats or dogs on the property as a previous reviewer mentioned. Patti, Adam and all the other employees were so very nice and helpful. Their warmth and graciousness made us feel like we were home. For New Year's eve we chose to bring food in for dinner. The staff provided us with all the supplies necessary to serve our meal and they even set up candles all over the patio to make the mood festive. Patti arranged for two masseuses to come to Casa Andrea to give massages, which were excellent. Our 2 room suite on the top floor was very clean, charming and comfortable with a view of the ocean. We purchased delicious pastries from Paris Cafe (a rustic pastry shop located at Pino Suarez #158),\warmed in our oven and enjoyed on the balcony of our room with a view of the ocean as we slowly woke up before heading down for breakfast. If you are a light sleeper you may have a challenge with echoing of noises from residents in condos surrounding Casa Andrea but the charm more than made up for the occasional noise - bring earplugs rather than let that be the reason for not staying at Casa Andrea.
Room Tip: We enjoyed 2 bedroom suite on the corner of the top floor since there is a view of the ocean.
