From the moment we stepped in the door of this lovely hotel, we felt we had come home. After a tiring trip we were graciously greeted by Theran and whisked to our gorgeous room and treated to complimentary margaritas. We stayed in the las Cruces suite. From the exquisite linens, to the magnificent bathroom complete with a huge bathtub and also a tiled rain shower, to the patio with a view of the main cathedral and the entire bandaras bay our room more than fit the bill.
The air conditioning worked perfectly and there also was a ceiling fan for the coolish
We were close to the church bells which rang every fifteen minutes but it didn't seem to disturb our sleep in the least.
Breakfast was included and although it was available in the room we chose most days to have it in the rooftop restaurant.
After one day the staff knew our preferences and our names and the service was impeccable.
The hotel is small and filled with antiques chosen by the owner, Janice Chaselton. The attention to detail is amazing with linen towels in the bathrooms and fresh flowers in the rooms. There are charming gardens and three pools and total privacy.
We ate three dinners at the hotel. Christmas dinner we chose a perfectly cooked turkey dinner with all the trimmings. New years eve was a 7 course wine pairing dinner held in the onsite chapel overlooking the bay.
The only negative for others could be that there were lots of stairs. This would not be a place for someone with mobility issues. Although the was a ground floor room and meals could be served anywhere on the property.
Highly recommend this place if you like great service and amenities in a unique charming setting.
