A group of 4 of us from SK,Canada stayed a week at this resort.It was an awesome trip.Great food,Great service,Nice pool.The maids keeped the room very clean.The only thing we had to complain about I asked for a alarm clock and they said they had none.Not really a big deal we used the TV. The Beach was very small and the water was very rough not a lot of lounges by the beach there is no room. but up top in the resort area there were tons of lounge chairs to choose from. The shows at night were entertaining.Staff were all friendly.Lots of friendly english speaking people.All the excursions we went on were well worth the money.Fun and relaxing holiday just as we hoped for.

As I type this I am sitting outside the pool bar enjoying the evening. The ONLY complaint my husband and I have is that the bar tender that serves the tables by the wall overlooking the ocean-he is extremely slow and not friendly. That's my complaint lol
We have been here for 5 days and the food is great!! Something new with every dinner served. Choice of two areas to eat from-the snack bar and the buffet restaurant. We came with two others and no one has gotten sick from the food. I have made an effort to try at least one or two new items with every meal and I have to say, I have liked majority of what I tried.
The beach is very small. However go about 30 yards to the left, bring a lounge chair, towel and your set for sun all day. The peddlers suck. They are like sharks as you step onto the sand.

Our room? King size bed. Hot water and A/C. What more do you want?

We will definitely return with our kids next year :)

multiple visits for a month every year, extremely disapointed this year.ill from food way too often this year,great location and people, the value for the price is not there anymore.

We've stayed at Canto del Sol several times. Some of the rooms are a bit tacky, some are very nice. We had a fairly tacky one but with a great view of the pool and ocean. Some great touches, like being greeted with a fruit basket, chocolate pastries one night, cookies another night, nightly shows. The location is great. It is right on the ocean and is within about a 1/2 hour walk to downtown. However, the buses stop about a block away and take you downtown for about 50 cents. The pool was heated, which is a nice touch. The people are very friendly. We did the all-inclusive for 2 days and found the food and drink to be just fine (we stayed a week). I prefer it over the huge resorts in Nuevo Vallarta.
