Incredible stay in Villa Kikeya. The villa is even more beautiful than it looks on the photos. Robert the owner greated us when we arrived on our 8am flight, and provided us with a tour of both villas, took us for breakfast, then to the market to buy delicious fresh shrimp and tortillas and then dropped us off at the Mega to buy our supplies for a week. If you are staying here, the best thing to do is buy some groceries and alcohol on arrival so you have stuff available, the kitchen is fully stocked and thanks to us there is now salt and pepper :) Make margaritas or sangria in the late afternoon as well as some salsa and guacamole and enjoy an afternoon snack and bevies on the terrace while watching the sunset over the bay. The villa is completely private and you have two decks for sunning so you can even get a tanline free tan! There are two bedrooms, and two baths both with decks off of the rooms, there is ac but we didnt use it and simply stuck to the fans. if you want you can take advantage of the laundry facilities available to make sure you have plenty of clean clothes.
I highly recommend taking breakfast at el patio de mi casa which is just a couple of doors down and enjoy the organic breakfast, jazz music and the charming staff all for about $5. Tapas is another wonderful resto in the area where we enjoyed sangria and tapas one evening. If you are looking for a truly mexican experience there is a litros place near the malecon and distillery restaurant that will mix you up a liter of your favorite mixed drinks for 40 pesos, I recommend a paloma or extra spicy michelada.
All in all this was a fabulous place to stay, there is no need for a car because you can walk everywhere, there are wonderful restaurants nearby, and you can also cater to yourself!
