A beautiful place on the beach, but central also for town,shopping,restaurants etc. Scrupulously clean and tastefully decorated. Owned and run by a delightful young couple.

Can't say enough great things about wonderful CASA CLAUDIA. We were thrilled from the moment we walked in the gates leading through the plush grass and by the pool in the perfectly kept courtyard. Instead of staying in big commercial hotels, we prefer to stay places that have a "local" flavor. CASA CLAUDIA provides mexican hospitality along with a great location. Just a few minutes from the Malecon and within walking distance of hot-spots if you're in the mood. The location is so close to the ocean that the first few nights as we slept with our windows and doors wide open, we thought we were listening to a mighty wind...instead we realized it was the waves crashing on the shore...soothing us as we lazily slept! When we visited, Gema (the Innkeeper) took great care of us. She made nightly dinner reservations and although we have been to Puerto Vallarta more than once, she gave us wonderful advice on new things to try -- our favorite being the short bus ride to secluded and relaxing Mismaloya beach. Our stay was 10-days long and we visited with family. Each couple occupying a different suite at CASA CLAUDIA--all were delightful, overlooking the pool and so comfortable we didn't want to leave. We will return again to our beloved CASA CLAUDIA!!

From reading the other reviews this was not what i was expecting. the pool is tiny and it is across the road from a horrible piece of beach. there are not many resturants close by and the old town is a good 10 min walk. there is no one at the reception to help you - a man comes when you go and wait, but he does not speak good english. really it is like staying in apartment. we had a one bedroom suite. it was large and clean. bathroom small and a bit basic. the sofa bed was not suitable for sleeping and not comfortable. pillows on bed not good. the main problem was the fan - it would only spin at a very very fast speed. i would not say it was good value for money considering prices in mexico.

This is the best kept secret in Puerto Vallarta. If you are trying to get away from the hectic large hotels with all the noise and big crowds, then this is the place for you. There is no bar and loud music here. Just one pool and the most beautiful courtyard perfect for afternoons reading a book or sunbathing. This family owned and operated beauty is just one block from the beach. There are adjoining suites and most have kitchens. I've been 3 times and will always stay here while in PV.
