“Location A+; Cleanliness A+; Privacy A+; Price A+!”

This was probably our seventh visit to Casa del Puente. It's like coming home - a warm welcome, you get a key to the front gate, there is a grocery store a block away, and so many good restaurants and things to do. The price is eminently fair, and the service is delightful. You have a full kitchen - blender for margaritas, coffee maker, stove with all utensils, and plenty of books left by previous happy visitors. You don't have the stuffy hotel feeling (it's right on the River Cuale, with iguanas in the trees and the river sounds to lull you to sleep). This place will be one that you will remember and wish that you had spent more time here!

Room Tip: Two large rooms - actually suites. We have stayed in each, and find both delightful.

“A magical Casa on the bridge in the heart of Puerto Vallarta”

Mollie & Maria were fabulous hosts (along with some puppy love from Lilly, Louis, Blanca & Wanda). This this the perfect spot to stay in PV. The service is genuine and heart felt and it's truly like staying with old friends. Read a revue from someone about concerns around price/tax incl. we found the complete opposite, they were very upfront about cost and we thought it exceptionally good value. Would absolutely stay here again

“Nice, but one caution...”

My girlfriend and I stayed at Case del Puente for two nights and had a wonderful time. The location in right in the mix of things in historic PV and the hotel grounds are wonderful. Molly, the owner, is quite nice and reminds me of my grandmother. However, I have one red flag regarding my stay. The rooms cost $85 but when I went ot pay, she jotted down the amount on a sticky then went to a calculator to figure out 12 percent tax. So the trip cost almost $200 instead of $170. I'd been travelling in Mexico for a while and never paid a hotel tax. Two things struck me as odd: 1) That she didn't the room plus tax cost and had to calculate it in front of me. I think this was for show, and 2) the total was written on a sticky (and paid in cash) rather than a reciept of some kind with the hotel name on it. Usually I would question this but she threw me off with being elderly and reminding me of a nice grandma. My girlfriend and I also lost $250 at either this hotel or another. The room had a safe but stupidly we didn't use it. Regardless of where you stay in Mexico be sure to secure your valuables. With those caveats, though, the place was quite nice. :)

“A Treehouse Retreat in a Quaint Little City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2010

We adored our stay here! Molly & her daughter Maria were very generous hosts and made us feel like we were "home". It is hard to believe that the home is in such a bustling part of town. We felt like we had our own private tree house in the jungle. The full functioning kitchen, generous space and cozy decor made us not want to leave. Probably not a great fit for very physical kids, but great for quiet reflection.

“A truly unique place to stay to experience the flavor of the culture.”

We loved the ambience and spaciousness. What a great experience, going to the local grocery store and buying what we needed to make our Margarita's to enjoy on our terrace each evening before heading out to dinner. Tips: take the city buses, 8 pesos, bring comfortable shoes for walking the cobble stone streets.
