Just returned from a week-long stay at the Arco Iris guest house and I can't stop raving about it. The hosts Tom and Ran offer a wonderful stay. All rooms have gorgeous views of the bay and the neighborhood itself is charming with steep cobble stoned streets and views at every turn of Puerto Vallarta's gorgeous landscape and unique architecture. Every morning held a new surprise as Tom whipped up a gourmet confection worthy of a five-star restaurant. We were lucky to have very charming and pleasant house mates whom we had dinner with a few times on our trip. I highly recommend for gay travelers looking for a more exclusive and relaxing experience in PV. Here's a tip: the best view of the sunset is at the Arco Iris, so if you stay here, head home in time to catch the show.
The walk to the gay beach from here is 15 minutes downhill, but you can cab it for $3-5 US each way.
