I stayed at the Arco for two nights 01/2009. It was an amazing experience.

Your hosts are super nice and friendly and helpful. Tom is also a chef and he prepares the breakfast everyday. It was the two best breakfasts I have ever had in my entire life.

Your room is big and the bed is huge and super comfortable.

The actual apartment is beautiful, and the view from the balconies is breathtaking.

You are very close to all attractions in town including the gay beach. Going up the heal takes some time an effort but you can always take a cab up - it is only 4-5$

I strongly recommend staying in the lovely place. For sure the number one gay B&B in PV and one of the best gay B&B I have stayed at.

The Arco Iris is right in the tiny town of Santa Elena but it's set up on a hillside so there's lots of greenery. Decent view too. There are a number of small cabins around the grounds...some duplexes, some singles, some quads. Our room had 1 double bed and 1 single, private bathroom. The room was fairly spacious, lighting good, lots of windows, clean. Bathroom was clean but pretty small. Great hot water and lots of pressure. There are no window screens on the windows but we didn't have a problem with bugs. It does get a bit cool at night and there is no heat in the rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. We paid $55US/night for the room (plus taxes) but if you pay cash you get an additional discount. Breakfast is not included but you can pay $6.50 for the buffet breakfast. A little pricey but delicious!!! Homemade breads and jams, gallo pinto, sausages, eggs, fresh fruit...mmmm. We took the guided hike of Monteverde booked through the hotel and the guide they use, Adrian, was fantastic. Had a really great time. Good value for the money.

I stayed there a few years ago. I loved it. The privacy, the private pool area, the view...Spectacular!!! The hosts were friendly, but respected your privacy.
I will go back at the earliest opportunity..

I have stayed there now for at least three years. The men who run it are friendly and the boys who populate it can be beautiful. For privacy, views, and convenience, nothing else like it exists in Vallarta for gay men traveling on a budget. Im going again for two seeks at the end of January. Sky, sun, surf, a surfiet of food, sex and sleepy days lie ahead. Isn't that why we are alive? John
