DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTELl. We were misled on this hotel, and won it through an auction. The rooms are not worth the price at all. I could have slept in an ally, and I would have been more comfortable, and probably felt safer too. Rooms at the Super 8 in Seattle are ten times nicer. There are too many things wrong with this place to even list, but I am going to try anyway.
My suggestion to anyone is to pay the extra money, and stay across the street at the Holiday Inn or one of the other many hotels on the beach. My wife and I switched to the Holiday Inn 3 days into our trip, and it was ten times nicer, cleaner, friendlier, and safer.
So here is my list of of complaints:
1) Unclean and Unkept - mold in the kitchen and bathroom, and the smell absolutely wreaked. One of the 8 other couples in the entire place complained that their plumbing and electricity were not working. Our A/C was as loud as a jet engine. Toilet troubles. TV did not function. Ant problem, and the list goes on.
2) Not comfortable - As someone else mentioned, the beds are hard as rocks. My back ached for hours every morning.
3) Safety - My wife flat out felt unsafe, and I would have to agree We have been a few trips to Mexico, and we had never had that uneasy feeling before. The door to the room was old style lock and metal key. No deadbolt. Two of the nights there was constant screaming and wall thumping. No lock box for valuables.
I can't say how bad this place was. Book it at your own risk. Shop around, there are many others way better. Do your research and get something on the beach in the "hotel zone."
