The Rosita hotel is located in the new malecon beach front, over 50 years old kept in pretty good shape all workers are locals and the atmosphere is authentic of a mexican town.. irt iss not the best hotel in Vallarta by far, but you will go back in time everytime you walk in.
It is one of my favorites in PV

Room Tip: Since the rebuild of the malecon the street rooms are much quiter and the ocean view are the best...

“Really great hotel”

I've been staying at the Hotel Rosita for the last few days, and will be there for the next couple of weeks. It is not my first time in Puerto Vallarta, but the first time I've stayed at this hotel.

So far I am really impressed with the level of service provided for a very reasonable price. I have a great room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The public areas, lobby and dining area, are charming in a traditional Mexican way. The pool area, also overlooking the ocean, is also really nice - and a great place to enjoy a cocktail at the wonderful sunset hour.

All the staff are gracious, polite, friendly and helpful.

The breakfast included in the room rate is fine, and at weekends you can upgrade to the extensive brunch buffet for 63 pesos.

The location is perfect, a beautiful walk along the impressively refurbished Malecon into the Zona Romantica.

I am happy to have chosen Hotel Rosita.

“location, location”

The Hotel Rosita has a wonderful location. Not too far from the airport, on the beach and at the start of Puerto Vallartas famous 'malecon', or seaside walk. Online booking is very satisfactory, desk staff are very capable, breakfast included, clean rooms and clean pool! We have stayed there many times and not been disappointed. It is best to ask for a ocean view room as the street side rooms are noisy (but $10 cheaper).

“Just what I was looking for and expected!”

Been to P.V many times and always wanted to stay at the Rosita.
Loved the idea of the hotel being old,Mexican and in a great location.
This hotel was perfect for me as when I travel I like to have each meal at a different place.Breakfast was included but was very plain(eggs, beans, toast, coffee.tea)Not complaining too much though as it was enough for me.Because it was so inexpensive I didn't mind sleeping in and missing the odd breakfast after having too much fun the night before!!!!!!
Location was perfect.Didn't take a cab or bus once.Although on the beach next to the hotel I took a boat to Yelapa for the day.Highlight of my trip.
The staff were wonderful, very cheerful and could not do enough for you.
Rooms were large and very clean.I stayed on the street side and thought I might change the next day but quite enjoyed watching the traffic end excitement on the Malecon.
I have been to many all inclusives and decided that it is not for me.I found so many cheap meals and bought most of my beer at the local store for $1(one block away)
The pool area was fine but a little strange sitting inside the fence.Think it should be painted white!A guy walked past and asked how long I was in for!!!!
Will certainly return.

“Hospitality and Charm in Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

I have stayed at the Rosita for two weeks each January for many years - after trying several other hotels. This is not a five-star, all-inclusive resort. It's a family-run hotel that attracts lots of Mexican families and offers warm and friendly service. The food is excellent. It's location at the beginning of the Malecon in the heart of Puerto Vallarta is exceptional for strolling and visiting shops, restaurants and bars or just enjoying the waterfront. Despite proximity to the "action", the atmosphere in the hotel is tranquil and relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and clean. For a few extra dollars, I'd recommend a larger ocean-view room. From your first greeting from the front desk staff to the day they wave goodbye, you'll experience Mexican hospitality at its finest and feel like part of the family.

Room Tip: For a few extra dollars, take one of the larger pool or ocean view rooms. They're both quiet an...
