I stayed on 2 occasions in the posada, nice interior design, good location. The interior courtyard is "homey" good place to sit and check your email, chat with friends etc. I booked my room by email and they honoured my reservation, the room felt good and were clean and comfortable

We stayed again that the Posada Roger while in P.V. And again we had a great time. It is a small family owned hotel right in the old town, close to the beach as well as shops and restaurants. Now I must admit my travel history makes me a little bias.. I first stayed there over 30+ years ago when it was much smaller and run by Roger himself. In those days, Roger would be sitting in the floral courtyard working on one of his painting. He would not have to get up then. After an Hola Amigo, he would asked how I liked the colors he was using and Oh yes grab a coffee and pick a room, the keys are on the board..
The key word then was Charm, Charm, Charm. And this, my friends world travelers, is still the key today. Today the place is much bigger with a pool and a fantastic restaurant. It is run by Roger's niece Sonia and her Italian husband, Dario. It is all updated with all the amenities but what I want you to know is that you still find that old Puerto Vallarta charm!
And yes my friends, I know of which I speak. I own four hotels in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and know a thing or two about making your guests have a unique and pleasant experience.. (See Hotel Old Quarter in Amsterdam).
This time my brother from Denver flew out on Frontier to meet us at the Posada. He is a bit of a workaholic and thus does not travel much. But he had the time of his life in P.V. and much of that is due to the hospitality show him at the Posada Roger! (see attached picture of him with the Owners in the courtyard).

We stayed at the Hotel Posada de Roger for the month of January, 2012. It is a quaint, traditional Mexican hotel, which is very neat and clean. The hotel in centrally located near fantastic restaurants like Fredy's Tucan, the Margarita Grill, Joe Jack's Fish Shack, and several others. The beach is just a short walk away. We met lots of fantastic folks from Canada and the U.S. who have been staying at this hotel for 20 or more years. Those folks, along with the friendly hotel staff, helped to make this trip our best ever!!!!

My husband and I made this reservation though Booking Buddy, linked to theTrip Advisor web page. We even had a conformation number saying we were booked for 3 days. I printed it out and brought this page with the details to "Posada de Roger".
The lady at Posada de Roger's office told us we had no reservation and they had no rooms available! She wasn't very kind in talking to us or offering another hotel. I had to ask what about my taxi I just paid for from the airport. where can I go? Then I remembered another B&B hotel "Casa Isabel" and asked her if she would please call for me. Disturbed she did so.
Casa Isabel took us right in.
Before I left to go to the other hotel, I asked a different young lady, if I could see the rooms, she had a better attitude and was nice enough to show us 3 different rooms, These rooms all were crowed togeather, worn, and noisy.
But I had no way of knowing if there were any other hotels better than this, at this time. Only the reviews I read on Trip Advisor.
I made a mistake and gave my credit card number for any cancellation for Sunday and was promised that it would not be used until I signed in. The plan was that they would call me to let me know. Instead they called me to tell me they charged my card for Saturday.
I do not like anything about this place ! Ethics are impossible!
For a fraction more you can do much, much, much better!!!! In more friendly honest and Quieter B&B's & Hotels.
