Just like the review stated before me. IF you like to share your resort vacation with hundreds of Federal Police then this is the place. We felt completely unwelcome at this resort. THis resort caters to the Federals only. Restaurant is open for them only. Swim up bar closed, the water park was closed. The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. The rooms were old and worn down. No hot water. Nothing seemed to work. We spent majority of our time off the resort. Ixtapa itself is a wonderful place, but just do not stay at this resort. We called RCI and complained and they did compensate us by giving us another week. Thank God there was plenty of other things to do off the resort. Ixtapa has great restaurants, and shopping and lots of activities. We booked several activities through Ixtapa Holidays. Carlos was wonderful and very accomodating. Go to Las Gatas if you can. Beautiful beach. Walk all the way down to the end of the beach and stop at Otilia's. Ask for Franco. The staff there was wonderful and we had a blast. We went over there twice during our stay and Franco just took really good care of us. We will be going back to Ixtapa our next trip, but we will never stay at the Ixtapa Palace again.

Worn spots on the sheets, no towels in the room, water coming up through floor drain in bathroom, the whole place is worn look.
Water park next door didn't work. We share the hotel with 200 - 300 federal police staying at the facility. Felt like I was staying in the Green zone in Iraq. Automatic weapons, flack jacket, some with face masks on. Restaurants: There was no place to eat at hotel since it was a full time job feeding the troops but found a nice place around the corner. Went to Pacifica Report and bought a time share.
Loved Ixtapa, beautiful beaches, friendly people.

12/09 stayed 1 week thru RCI. Had read questionable reviews, but we were quite satified with our 1 bedroom suite.Clean . daily maid service.staff friendly.not on beach but well located.
Pool a little cool, and TV stations limitied, but otherwise quite nice

This is not a bad hotel but is not what I expected for the money. Is not located on the beach, you have to walk some blocks to get to a crowded public beach. I must say is one of the worst locations on the hotel zone because of that, though is close to some nice restaurants. The hotel have some nice amenities like a pool table an a gym. The facilities look outdated.The suites are large and have a kitchen, personaly I do not like mi wife cooking on vacation so we prefer one of the all inclusive resorts beachfront, you might think they are a lot more expensive, but they are not.
