We just returned from our vacation at Sunscape in Ixtapa... Had an awesome time staff did a great job making us happy around the pool never had to wait long for service, they bring your food to you if you don't want to go and sit in the grill area and order of the menu which we did a few times food was excellent there...If you go to the Italian rest. there wait staff are very slow and don't wait on you very good. food was excellent though, our room was amazing, Sara our maid kept it very clean and our fridg. was always stocked which is free goes along with the room ...great view ocean front , the weather was beautiful the whole time we were there...we went across the street a few nights for supper they have excellent rest. also in Ixtapa over all great vacation highly recommend this place

We stayed at the Sunscape Dorado Pacifico from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2. The hotel is fabulous and the staff is excellent (except for the lobby bartender)..He seemed to not enjoy what he was doing and was there just because he had to be. We had an ocean front suite with two balconies which was excellent and we were able to watch the evening shows from our balcony. Fortunately, this was to our advantage since we became seriously ill after eating at the buffet for the first two days and we spent a full day in our room in order to stay close to the bathroom. In the 15 years we have gone to Mexico, we have never experienced the agony of food poisoning. It's not pleasant. When we were able to comfortably go back to the pool or beach, we found that quite a number of other guest had been in the same situation. We then learned to eat at one of the other restaurants where the food was cooked when we ordered it. Careful of the Italian restaurant. It took 2 1/2 hours to eat and the music was SO LOUD we couldn't even talk to one another at the table. Other than that, the hotel is very clean, beds are super comfortable, staff is overly pleasant and helpful. Since they have only gone All/Inclusive since Nov. 2011, I'm sure all they need is a little "tweaking" to get the food situation straightened out. They have to realize that food should not be set up in the hot afternoon sun when it is not served until 7 PM and should not be re-served the following evening.

I've read the reviews from people who have been here before when it was not all-inclusive and it is sad. However, this was our first time in Ixtapa-Zihuat (which is so fantastic we'll come again) and therefore our first time at the Dorado Pacifico. We cannot say enough about the fantastic staff here -- we have never encountered such personal interaction, let alone first class service. We just returned home last night so our memories are strong and positive and happy. We have photos with Cecilio and Edgar with my husband's cowboy hat, we actually miss Denise, the hostess, the many wonderful waiters who remember that you drink black tea or white wine or that you take your Caesar salad with no chicken, Alejandro around the pool. OMG, I'm getting weepy. Anyway, maybe the some of the buffet meats are kind of overcooked, but everything else was fantastic and the point is, they are trying so hard to be everything to everybody -- which, let's face it folks, can't happen even in a fantasy world because there are some truly obnoxious jerks in this world, and we saw them there. The folks at Dorado Pacifico are fantastic and we love them for their efforts and my husband and I, are our two friends, loved this place and would come back again. Oh the ceviche, oh the avocado, oh Oceana and Bluewater Grill and Da Mario's .... and even the Barefoot Grill, and it's all on the most beautiful beach for walking to get rid of those calories. Oh, and the fantastic beds and cool, smooth sheets. What a vacation. Stop complaining, get real folks, this is a wonderful place.

For starter evry thing was GGGGGOOOOODD starting with Mr Gustravo that help us for the room , Mr Cecillio for is devotion for managing all the restaurant and bars p.s he was allways availlable for the customer and very joyful all the time he should get a PROMOTION for is devotion for this hotel .
And all of the restaurant made it so easy for us and the food hum ,,,, SO GREAT we try them all out and no desapointement P'S no body (4) of us were sick that indicate the quality of the place ,at the ITALIAN we were received by Mr Edgar wow what a receiving man for his customers allways smilling and want only to give you the best service THANKS AGAIN , and i don't want to forget all of the other member of the staff that make our experience at the SUNSCAPE DORADO PACIFICO a place that we call home and we will come back next year .
For starter Nancy evry morning for her SMILE at breakfast ,Virginia and Antonio speedy gonzales for the good service at the pool , Alberto for animation he made me laugh so much when he was screeming like a girl at the pool activities And Rambo & Salvador also were great to any way for services evrybody wanted the best for their gests and made us feel familly for them when we left for Canada we hug so many peoples there that made our vacations excuse me DREAM VACATIONS come true WOW IXTAPA and all staff at the SUNSCAPE DORADO PACIFICO THANK YOU VERY MUCH and if we forgot somboy at the hotel well consider thoses GOOD commemts for you also we love you XOXOXO OH yes for all the persons that left negative feed back well sorry , stay home that will give us more room for us next year ;)
