“Unforgettable holiday!”

I went to Mar Azul in August 2010 with my family and it was our first time in Acapulco. The hotel was very nice, clean and quiet which is nice. Located just by the sea-side a few minutes away from many restaurants an shops, the location is ideal. We had a really great stay there and met some really nice people. The staff was extremely kind and very helpful. Rosie, the manager is great and her and her team really make the guests feel welcome. You cannot leave that place without wanting to return. Everyone is so friendly. They also organize excursions for you during your stay.
I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Acapulco.

Tips:
-If you haven't been to Taxco, you have to go. We took a day trip there (organized by the hotel) and it was charming.
-If you are considering buying silver jewelry, then buy in from Vicky at the hotel. It is cheaper than everywhere else and is great quality. I bought some at he time and it's some of my favorite.

“November 2012”

Quiet. Beautiful. Perfect. This very small condo building has the most friendly, helpful staff you will ever encounter. Victor at the poolside bar is very handsome. Rosie, the manager is very professional , Rosie's sister has a jewelry counter near the bar with very beautiful pieces, and Eliud at the front counter is extremely helpful. Here, you are within walking distance of a mall, theater, any kind of shopping you'd like and KFC and McDonalds! Also remember to stop by the Jacalito Restaurant. Very good food and service. Children are welcome at Mar Azul. but when we go its mostly grownups. (The week end after Thanksgiving)

Room Tip: All of the rooms have a balcony on the Beach.

“Fantastic Vacation”

First of all, the staff is Bilingual (English-Spanish), very friendly and willing to help you with anything you need. Rooms are very clean and fresh, completely furnished. The pool is very pleasant and the beach palapas very relaxing. We had a very great experience on our last vacation. We highly recomend this condominium!!!! It is in the heart of Acapulco, that means that you can walk almos to every restaurant, bar, atracction you would like to go to. Since is in the middle of Acapulco, you can ride the bus and go to the Cruise terminal or to the "Punta diamante" very easily, if you rather take a taxi, the front desk staff will call one for you and almost arrange the cost with the driver.... if you need to buy Silver, the silver store that is located inside "Papagayo Park" is the best one! their prices are better than Taxco.

Room Tip: Almost all rooms have a balcony overlooking the bay. You can go to Walmart and get your food to fix...

“Spring Break 2011”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

We took our daughter to Mar Azul last year and we loved the resort. This was our first time to Acapolco and it really was not our favorite place in Mexico to visit. We were sick the whole time unsure it was the food in Maxico City or what we ate a near by resturant. We had been warned no to look in any empty bags on the beach since they had been finding human reamains it bags on the beach. We felt very safe the whole time we were there and had even rented a jeep to explore on our own. We did get pulled over and the police officer charged us 100.00 US dollars. We did not know that the police are NOT allowed to ticket tourist so if this happens to you ask to go to the police station. The reaort has a weekly party and I would not miss it- that was the highlight of our vaction and my daughter (15) very much enjoyed atching the young boys surfing on the beach right our front. If you are worried about the food just stick to the burgers/fries right at the resort.

Room Tip: They did try to put us in a small room in the back with only a view of the city. We complained and d...

“We love the staff and their excellent services!”

We stayed at Mar Azul for two weeks in Acapulco and love it! The staff here are extremely wonderful and super helpful. Everyone here goes beyond their jobs to make our stay here very comfortable and nice. Elliot and Arello were our favorites. My kids love them dearly. They both were very helpful and sweet. Thanks guys!
In light of the drug wars going on in Mexico now, we feel VERY safe here. There are enough local & federal police, army and Navy around to detour any bad deals/problems. Ricardo Avila was the best taxi we have been in. His car was clean and he was nice. We will be using him to go back to the airport. He does everything so if you need someone you can email him at Alvarez1178@hotmail.com.
Over all, we thought Acapulco was ok, comparing it to Cancun. We love to relax on the beach and go snorkeling. However, it is dirty and awful here. We went to La Roqueta and was very disappointed. The water was not clean and we barely see any fish. It was not worth our time and money. The cliff divers were good though. It was worth it. The last show is the best time to go. Food here are very good esp. at El Jacalito. We also had fun crashing all the hotels too. El Hotel Excalibur and El Hotel Emporio Continental Acapulco were our two farvorites. Since we came around the rainy month, it is more dirty. However, there are about five guys that clean the beach with rakes EVERY day. Thanks guys! Our last two days here, the beach has been SUPER clean without any trash from the 8th floor balcony. It was nice!

Room Tip: We stayed at the 8th floor with an amazing view of the whole city and the nice ocean view. The room...
