Welcomed with fresh fruit, flowers and a cold bee!. Large suite with views of pacific and bay at a great price. Owners very gracious and helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

My name is Kelly from St. Louis, MO and I just returned from Acapulco on Friday 2/25/11 after an excellent two week vacation. I've been going to Acapulco for the past 43 years and have enjoyed every moment. This year I stayed at Etel Suites and I'm glad I decided to try somewhere different (I normally stay at the Playa Suites in the middle of the bay). I found Telvi, the owner, to be a very personable lady who does her best to accomodate all her guests. She tries to keep everyone spread out in the hotel so everyone can enjoy their time with a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly, security if very good and location is ideal if you really like Acapulco. It is close to the nightlife, but far enough away to enjoy the real experience of Acapulco. I met people from Michigan, Canada, Florida and Maine. All of them were wonderful people and we had a great time together.
In summary, if you like Acapulco, this is the place to stay. If you don't like or understand the culture of Mexico stay in the United States.

PS: I think RONALDJO who showed up late on Christmas Day should stay in Kansas for his next vacation. Some people just don't know how to have fun!

5th stay with my husband and I. we love it because its close to everything and it not "touristie". Found a great piano bar toward the south end of town and excellent breakfast, lunch at La Cabana. Make sure you go to dinner at least once at Su Casa. It is located behind the Calinda Hotel up on the hill. We stayed on the top floor and had a commanding view of the entire city. Staff was excellent and most helpful. Taxi rides in the volkswagons are most exhilarating . We are looking forward to another trip sometime this year. regina

My husband and my son and his wife stayed at Etel Suites Jan 3-6 and had a great time. The rooms were spacious, very clean and very comfortable. In fact, we got two suites, a larger one with a separate bedroom and two bathrooms and a smaller one on the floor below-- both for the same price as the smaller one. This is an older hotel and one needs to be prepared...it is NOT the Ritz. What it is is a comfortable place with a full kitchen and a balcony with both bay and ocean views. It is walking distance from both the beaches and the quebrada (where the cliff divers are) and very cheap and convenient taxi rides to everything else. We are recommending it to our friends. Oh, and the pool and play area are very nice. Nothing fancy, inexpensive, good location, clean, comfortable...and we arrived late and were given enough coffee, sugar and milk to get us through the next morning. What else could one ask for?
