If you can stay during the weekdays and take advantage of their multi-night pricing packages during the low season, this is one of your best options in Acapulco. It is in a condominium district, and I believe this property was a condo that has been converted to use as a small hotel (6 very large suites). The accommodations are very nice, modern, spotless, and pleasant. They are spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments, well finished, well maintained, and cleaned (for a full hour!) every day. Best of all for me, the air conditioning is spectacular. (There are 3 quiet modern window units with remote controls you can use to select your desired temperature, and I tell you these units do the job--when it is muggy and HOT outside, it is dry and cool and serene inside.)
Our kitchen had a spacious side-by-side fridge/freezer, a 4-burner stove, a large microwave, an automatic dishwasher, a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker, and all the necessary dishes, flatware, utensils, and cookware. The kitchen has a bar that looks onto the large dining area. There is also a formal living room area as well as an over-sized hallway that they have chosen to use as a TV area -- a large TV with tons of cable channels with a sofa-bed that you can fold out to a double bed. The pool was warm and nice, and the views from the large private balcony are unbelievable--of a large gorgeously manicured GREEN golf course rimmed on all sides by nice high-rise condos. The staff was nice and helpful, and I have to point out a special thank you to the receptionist Paloma, who works the afternoon shift. She is one of the nicest human beings on planet earth and bends over backwards to help you with any request. At the reception area she navigates the Internet and shows you on her monitor all the different things to do and places to eat, etc. She spent a long time showing me different restaurant options and found the PERFECT restaurant for us for my birthday celebration (Baikal) and then called and made our reservation. She also used my credit card # to buy our seats at the nearby VIP movie theater (a luxe movie-going experience with full reclining leather seats and chair-side waiters that serve you DURING the movie); she spent a long time with me helping me choose different tourist attractions and restaurants. She is so genuinely warm and nice -- we fell in love with her. Though she does not hold the official title, she is effectively the concierge of your dreams, and I gave her a nice gratuity at the end of our stay, and she was extremely appreciative and gracious.
Anyway, in sum, Acapulco is not a great city for lodging. You would generally pay double in Acapulco what you would in the USA for a comparable star rating hotel--yet you will only get lodging that is often a little dreary and rundown and has seen better days. But this property is obviously immaculately maintained and professionally managed and is the best value I have found in Acapulco over the years--it is definitely the place I will always return to from now on. (I live in Mexico and go to Acapulco once a year or so.) This is one of those rare little finds that I am almost reluctant to write a review about because I don't want it to become so popular that rooms are hard to get and the prices go up -- but I have to give credit where it is due, and the people behind this hotel definitely deserve credit for providing very spacious, pleasant, and comfortable accommodations.
