We went to this hotel, 2 nights as we were in saltillo. It went smooth like silk everything. Good rooms, bed are excelent to rest in. Good TV service. Maid comes around 12 am. So it isn't too intrusive. For around 10 dollars, you get room service. Free BIG breakfast. I loved it.

There are very few pet friendly hotels near Saltillo which is our stopover point travleing north from Mexico to Texas.
This hotel accepts pets and is secure which were our highest priorties.
This was our second consecutive year staying at the American Business hotel and if in Saltillo again will stay here.
Just a FYI. Saltillo is a difficult city to get through and finding this hotel could be a challenge.

We have stayed in this hotel several times in past years and liked it well enough. This visit it was evident that the place has gone down hill. The room 'key cards' did not work. There was a missing bulb in the one lamp...and the socket looked broken so tho I tried to explain the problem to the clerk...he didn't understand my admittedly poor Spanish....and he was alone so couldn't come to the room. The food was not wonderful, The breakfast buffet was pretty meager. There was a big group in the pool in the evening and the next morning the pool area was still messy. The carpeting could definately use cleaning/replacing. Maintenence needs to be improved. Staff tried to help and were polite but I think they were understaffed.

This is what happened to me:
- Found a dead cockroach in the middle of the room when I arrived.
- No hot water in the shower.
- No pillows menu as they advertised.
- When I told this to the lady in the frontdesk she told me: "que mal" ("how bad") and she didn't offer me at least an apology.
