We have stayed in this hotel several times in past years and liked it well enough. This visit it was evident that the place has gone down hill. The room 'key cards' did not work. There was a missing bulb in the one lamp...and the socket looked broken so tho I tried to explain the problem to the clerk...he didn't understand my admittedly poor Spanish....and he was alone so couldn't come to the room. The food was not wonderful, The breakfast buffet was pretty meager. There was a big group in the pool in the evening and the next morning the pool area was still messy. The carpeting could definately use cleaning/replacing. Maintenence needs to be improved. Staff tried to help and were polite but I think they were understaffed.

This is what happened to me:
- Found a dead cockroach in the middle of the room when I arrived.
- No hot water in the shower.
- No pillows menu as they advertised.
- When I told this to the lady in the frontdesk she told me: "que mal" ("how bad") and she didn't offer me at least an apology.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, great rooms and breakfast.

We've stopped here on the way to the States for the past two years and are planning to stay again this summer. The original reason we stopped here was that we travel with two small dogs and they were the only place that was 'pet friendly' for miles around. The grounds are lovely, the staff helpful, the rooms very nice for the price, and the food is quite good. The only minus was that the wi-fi in the room wasn't working and we had to use the computer in the guest business office.
