“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

This hotel has it all....charm, eloquence, luxury, and safety! Located in the safest part of Monterrey (which is important nowadays) it is surrounding by nice restaurants and a Starbucks! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are large and comfortable. AC works wonders too! The interior is laden with marble throughout. You feel like you are in one of the Newport RI mansions when you walk into this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel

Room Tip: Get a high floor for the view...if you can get one with a balcony or terrace they are the best

“Great hotel, need to improve the variety on night buffet”

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for a romantic getaway. It was actually a surprise for my husband. I planned everything myself.

I chose this hotel due to the location , the amenities and also the price. I know there´s another Safi located in San Pedro (one of the counties that belongs to Monterrey City and the richest city in Mexico) that is more luxurious, but besides being more expensive (about 40% more) it sounds like it´s more business focused.

So, for us, the Safi Centro sounded better. We reserved one of the main suites that has a jacuzzi and a small living room. We arrived on Saturday at about 4 p.m. the check in was pretty smooth and then a bell boy took us to the room. We were very pleased to find out there was a personalized letter thanking us for choosing this hotel. I know this might seem like an insignificant detail for many people, but for us, it was a nice detail.

We also received a welcome cocktail that contained mainly fruit. After leaving our luggage in the room, we took at tour through the hotel. it´s a very small hotel, and it´s located in one of the main avenues in the city. So, for those of you visiting Monterrey for vacations or even business, it has a very centered location that it close to some of the main attractions in the city.

The hotel has a climatized pool and also a small jacuzzi next to the pool. There´s not really much to see in the hotel itself.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant because we heard they had buffet service, for our surprise and disappointment, we found out it had very limited food and dessert choices. We think this might be because there are not many clients during the night on the restaurant. I´ve heard there´s local people that go to this restaurant for breakfast on weekends but we did not have breakfast here the morning after so I cannot coment on this. The night buffet was quite expensive for the food offering.

The room has cable TV but it has very limited channels. The bed is comfortable and overall the room is clean. The bathroom is big enough for the jacuzzi, although the shower is kind of small. The toilet is on a separate are inside the bathroom. The jacuzzi is amazing.

Overall I can say this is a nice hotel, not very luxurious, more basic I would say, but its great for the price.´My husband and I were very pleased and will definitely go back as soon as we can =)

“Without any doubt, one of best hotels in Monterrey”

Clean, modern, elegant, nice building, facilities and rooms, unmatched balance between price and what you get, good blankets, small details, high rated service and close supervision from the managers. I will stay there every time I am coming back to Monterrey, without any doubt.

“Fair and sqaure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2010

Hotel Safi Rozal Luxury Centro in Monterrey is a good option for a business trip. Rooms are a little old, but very clean, nice and cosy, the restaurant is great for breakfasts and the bar has quite a bit to offer. Personell is very friendly and helps with everything you need.

A negative point might be the extremely noisy air condition that sounded like a power plant next to the bed.

If you go for staying whole days in the hotel, you might not get happy at Safi, but if it is just a short overnight stay or a business trip, this is just the adress for you.
It became a standard option for staying over in Monterrey.
