We have stayed at Tres Rios on many occasions over the past ten years, usually as part of a group going duck hunting and fishing in the surrounding area. The rooms are clean, air conditioning works, the staff pleasant. The hotel is laid out in groups of four room "casitas" surrounding a central garden and pool. The restaurant is good, though we usually eat at favorite spots in town for dinner. (Try Los Arcos for fish, 444 for grilled chicken). The old lion, (YES I did say Lion) that was caged has passed on, but there are a few iguanas running free in the garden. The hotel has a busy disco that sems a favorite of young locals on the weekends. It is well sound-proofed and never a bother.
