I stayed here since I had to take care of some business with the American consulate in Cuidad Juarez. When I first arrived I loved the cleanliness, and professionalism. Mostly all the staff is fluent in English. My stay has been pretty neutral, tthere are many pros and cons in staying here. Currently on the hotels website you see a pool, BEWARE: THE POOL IS EMPTY...THERE IS NO WATER INSIDE THE POOL.
Pros: Very safe, the local supermarket is about 2 blocks away (unfortunately the rooms with 2 beds do not have refregirators.), there are a few restaurants within walking distance but you have to jaywalk since there are NO crosswalks.
There is a free continental breakfast, and "manager reeption" which consist of small snacks, free beer and tequila. They have free washer and dryers, freee wireless internet, and a small workout room with 3 machines.
CONS: Some of the staff lacks common sense. I say this because it is not a problem to get the free shuttle in morning to the embassy, but there is more of a problem trying toget back. Every single time we have requested for a shuttle to pick us up we havehad tp pay $15 US Dollars to take a cab back. They once made us wait 2 hours before letting us know the shuttle was completely booked.
There are certain parts of the hotel that has a certain foul odor, after much compaint nothing has helped. You eventually get used to the odor. The thermostat in the rooms dont work that well its either really warm or really cold, and the air conditioning unit is really loud.
Most of all ...the pool is out of order indefinitely....should they have mentioned something in their website I would have stayed at somewhere else.
