“Overpriced but has a few perks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2008

I stayed here since I had to take care of some business with the American consulate in Cuidad Juarez. When I first arrived I loved the cleanliness, and professionalism. Mostly all the staff is fluent in English. My stay has been pretty neutral, tthere are many pros and cons in staying here. Currently on the hotels website you see a pool, BEWARE: THE POOL IS EMPTY...THERE IS NO WATER INSIDE THE POOL.

Pros: Very safe, the local supermarket is about 2 blocks away (unfortunately the rooms with 2 beds do not have refregirators.), there are a few restaurants within walking distance but you have to jaywalk since there are NO crosswalks.
There is a free continental breakfast, and "manager reeption" which consist of small snacks, free beer and tequila. They have free washer and dryers, freee wireless internet, and a small workout room with 3 machines.
CONS: Some of the staff lacks common sense. I say this because it is not a problem to get the free shuttle in morning to the embassy, but there is more of a problem trying toget back. Every single time we have requested for a shuttle to pick us up we havehad tp pay $15 US Dollars to take a cab back. They once made us wait 2 hours before letting us know the shuttle was completely booked.
There are certain parts of the hotel that has a certain foul odor, after much compaint nothing has helped. You eventually get used to the odor. The thermostat in the rooms dont work that well its either really warm or really cold, and the air conditioning unit is really loud.
Most of all ...the pool is out of order indefinitely....should they have mentioned something in their website I would have stayed at somewhere else.

“Memorable stay at the Hampton Inn”

The day that we arrived, the reservation information was ready and at hand at reception desk. We received smiles and really felt welcomed by a professional and caring staff.

First, we received a welcome cocktail that consisted of hot dishes (including vegetarian) and snacks (pop corn, peanuts, chips). Beverages (mexican beer, soft drinks, water) were also included.

At least during the weekend, the hotel provides complete breakfast including scrambled eggs, ham, beans, and tortillas. Bread, donuts, toast, fruit, yogurt, milk (2% and skim), granola, and cereal. Also coffee or tea are included.

Hotel has spacious rooms, complementary internet access (with computers and printer), and gym. Pool was clear and well maintained.

Checkout was painless and took less than a minute.

Overall, if I have to go back to Cd. Juarez for any reason, I would easily stay again at the Hampton Inn.

“The ONLY place to stay in Ciudad Juarez!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2007

We had an appt. in Juarez, and I was stressing about getting a hotel in Mexico. I researched every hotel there and chose this one. I am so glad I did make this choice, I cant say enough good things about this hotel. The people there acted like our own family, and treated as if we were family. We made lasting friendships with the employees, and have a second trip booked already!! The service was over the top. The complimentary van service was a life saver and the drivers were very knowledgeable of all the area. The breakfast was wonderful as well as the evening meal the prepare during the week. The front desk staff was so kind and very helpful. I would recomend this hotel to you very highly if you are planning on being in the area you will not be disappointed.
