The past week I stayed at Hotel Colonial Cd Juarez and really had a great experience. At first impression when I checked in was that people at front desk were very warm and friendly. They helped me out right away reservating transportation to get in time for my appointment at the American Counsul. Great swimming pool and green areas. Clean and fresh room with Wi Fi. Nice and safe place to stay! I had a special request about ordering some food to my room and they were so helpful to find the right restaurant. I defenetely recomend Hotel Colonial Cd Juarez!

“Passable Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2011

Pros: It is a clean and safe hotel, the maintenance personal is vey nice, free tranportation to consulate, free continental breakfast, have only one computer but it is always availabe. Cons: front clerk desk very rude and stubborn, no nearby soriana or Xmart so you are force to order something or go to 2 nearby restaurant but they are kind of expensive. Also the "federales" where staying at that hotel but supposely its like that in evey hotel due to the high percentage of federales in cuidad juarez. OH & if u do take a taxi the most they can charge is 120 pesos I was charge 220 pesos I felt for that ripe-off becuase I did not know. Good Luck & be Safe! :)

“I would highly recommend it! Very Secure, Very Clean, Friendly Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

We had business at the consulate Office for my 2 Step-Children, I petitioned for them, We booked the Hotel from Houston and stayed there for about 5 days, It was very clean the whole time, Very friendly Staff, Very Secure, the Cars are behind a Gated fence, Security Guard 24-7, Only 1 way in and 1 way out, no extra cars driving around, just tenants inside hotel parking, We loved it was 5 of us staying in 1 room, very comfortable rooms If I would to do it again, this is THE BEST PLACE I CAN RECOMMEND !!!

“hotel caro, expensive hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 May 2010

we stayed here for the first 3 days of our trip. The first night they gave my husband and I double beds with a view of the street and you could hear loud music from the night club across the street. They never asked if I wanted one or two beds. The beds was hard and the room small. There were federal police all over the place. The second night they changed me to a room with a view of the garden with one bed and it was a much better room. and a much better view. The bed was better too. Still after 3 days I changed to a cheaper hotel and wish I had started there to begin with. Turned out to cost a lot more than I had planned on because unlike most Mexican hotels they didn t include taxes in their advertised price so it ended up being like 599 pesos a night. They do have a shuttle service. They charge a deposit for the channel changer and the tv in the room was old. The breakfast is horrible not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. sugar water of orange flavor, coffee, some fruit, and very poor quality bread. and dry cereal with milk.
Now quedamos ahi 3 dias.

“Last minute reservation, great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2009

OK, this was a last minute reservation due to some change in plans. Still, the hotel its self is great. The staff was great, rooms where super clean, security is great, and they have taxis waiting out front. The hotel also has shuttle service to the airport (Mex not US) only available at 12 pm. The location of the hotel is a bit close to the border 9but you will still need a taxi), and far from the new US consulate. The hotel has a great pool area, quiet and most of the people staying there are doing business with the consulate. Overall, it’s a great buy but far from restaurants, malls, or any amenities, marginally close to the border, and the consulate its self is far from this hotel. If you are in town on business with the consulate I would not recommend this place due to how far it is from the consulate.

  • Liked — Clean, safe, and last minute availability
  • Disliked — No amenities around the hotel.
