Let me first say that I loved being at this hotel. It was a sight for sore eyes while in TJ. I loved the golf course room with the balcony. There were some difficulties, which I'll share with you.
When I arrived ar the hotel, I was immediately welcomed, and given the letter for Gold Members. However, I wanted a golf course view with a balcony, and I was told that there were none available. However, looking at the amount of people at the hotel, I find that hard to believe. I was also told that I would be able to have the room the next day, and that we should pack our things, and we would be moved while we were in absentia. That was basically a lie. We were never moved. I had to insist we get the room, and fineally we did. It was then a lovely room, but the toilet was broken, and ran consistenly, until we had to take the top off and adjust ourselves. We then couldn't flush all night, because we didn't want to hear it. I loved the second room though. I wish I could have been put there in the first place, then I could relax the whole trip...maybe even put some things away, and out of my suitcase. Ricardo, who was a wonderful valet, took us to our destinations and picked us up. That was beyond the call and I apprciated it. He was a Godsend. I also was overcharged for nearly $40 when I got home. Something that was not on my discharge bill. I'm uncertain what that is, and feel strange about this. Had to call my Marriott credit card to see what the charge was. It was not explained to me. Still waiting.
Overall, though, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in TJ for any reason. I had a heck of a time finding it, though. I suggest getting really detailed and accurage directions before attempting to drive there yourself.
