“Okay at best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2010

I normally don't write these- My Experience, Clean, but a musty smeel in our room ( the carpet looked like it go wet at one time, dur probably to a bathroom overflow). I book the King Suite for $48.00, and we got a queen. The guy at the front desk explained they had no more kings, but the queen is the same price. Its a block off Revolution Ave so its nice not to have the noise

The on location resturant was beyond poor. We swa a sign about the bruch and it sais 20 piso, so I thought abot $1. 50 per person was cheap. We both had breakfast from the bunch buffet which consisted of soggy chiliqules (a spoon ful and about a half an egg. Cost us $17. What a rip!

The main issue with TJ hotels, is most of the hotels don't do internet booking. They were giving rooms away at Ceasers (walk ins) only for $30. I think yiu could do pretty well, if you just look around with Cash in hand. The economy is really bad and the folks who own the smaller hotels will also work a deal.

This hotel did the job, but not by much

“time for the truth”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

This hotel is located right behind forum jai ajai. Nice and quiet location, security guard
at night, so you car is safe. They have an ice machine, wifi. Prices are very high for you get, paid $80, excl tax for a room with 2 beds. Then rooms were in major need of repair and remoldeling. I did see one room closed down for remodeling, hopefully they will do all their rooms. Also when I arrived and walked into the bathroom, there was soap wrappers on top of the shower. I guess its my fault for being 6' tall and being able to see all the garbage left behind...Expect this place to be extremely basic accomodation with wifi, ice, a/c and tv. Nothing more!!! Yes its true the front desk is not very friendly. Even if you speak spanish like me. If you want something near revolution with these amenities, check out hotel america. Its a little nicer, same price, much CLEANER!

“Great Value for the Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

recently stayed 4 nights at Hotel Zaragoza while in Tijuana having surgery at Angeles Hospital. I'm a 50-something female traveling solo and felt safe at this hotel. It was in a quieter area near the Jai Alai stadium and close to the major attractions.
I was very satisfied with the hotel and room for the internet price of $45 nightly. I
Check various websites for good deals; I found the best deal on the hotel website This place is designed for the cost-conscious traveler who spends more $ on experiencing an area rather than sitting in the hotel room. All necessary amenities such as room service, cable TV, hot tap water, A/C and wireless internet connection. English speaking personnel were available and everyone at the hotel was very accommodating.
The La Villa Restaurant serves delicious reasonably priced Mexican cuisine as well as an onsite bar. Secure parking.
I highly recommend this place to those who seek value and a safe location rather than expensive glitz .

“Villa de Zaragoza is a descent place to stay with a good price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2009

I recently had to go to Tijuana Mexico for dental work. This hotel was just a couple of blocks frpm my dentists office. I was worried about being in Tijuana at night, but I felt very secure in this hotel. They had a night watchman, and the truth is, things were much quieter in TJ at night, than I thought it would be. There is a nice restaurant on site, plus, Ricardo's is next door. The rooms were clean and had new furnishings. The folks at the desk spoke English.

“2 Weeks At The Zaragoza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2009

I just came back from an enjoyable two weeks stay in tijuana. I was a little concerned about commiting so long to one place but it worked out to my advantage. Everything you can possibly think of is close by to the hotel.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I will stay there agin when I return.

My only compliants are the carpets and the lack of rubber door stoppers to keep the air out. Otherwise a decent bang for the buck if your aren't overly fussy.
