Just returned from Tijuana with a friend who is getting medical treatment there. Alonso and all the staff at the Lucerna took such good care of us. There is a large variety of food choices, the rooms are lovely, the grounds are beautiful and soothing. It is very convenient to the clinics and hospital. We will be going back. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The hotel won't allow you more than the amount of registered guest into the room. It gets more complicated....so JUST DON'T STAY HERE.

We stayed at this hotel while in Tijuana for one night. We booked the hotel on line and when we arrived it appeared to be as nice as it appeared in the pictures. Also from the boarder it was only a $5 cab ride. We were checked in quickly, and when we asked when they could bring up a crib for our 1 year old and a cot for our 3 yr old they said right away. Well we waited and waited, Made several calls to the front desk and then made several trips to the front desk to find out where our crib and cot where. It took them so long that they gave the cribs out to other famlies and only had one cot left. We ended up moving to another room with two double beds, small, and after my wife chewed out the manager in the lobby finally got the cot delivered to our room. The manager did give us free buffet breakfast in the restaurant the next day which was good, but I don't think that my 1 year old cared about the breakfast when she fell out of the cot in the middle of the night. The manager did not speak english and most of the front desk staff seemed to lack it as well. Our feeling was that when we asked for the crib and cot they just said its coming, its coming and didn't know what we really wanted in the first place.
On the plus side the location is good. There is a convenience store across the street and a Domino's pizza as well which our kids liked.
The hotel was booked full with business people and clearly that was who they catered to. This hotel is not for famlies, but we would recommend it to couples.

Great location, nice pool and restaurants but the rooms need some work done. The fourniture, the tv...seem to need a renovation.
