My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night as a stopover. The rooms are very spacious with sea views (albeit some you'd need to lean over the balcony a bit!) and they come well furnished. The bed is large and all is clean. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. We would definitely recommend this as a great value hotel with exellent service. The only thing to stop you choosing it may be if you want to stay in central La Paz as it is a taxi ride away; however, taxis are incredibly cheap (about £4 one way) and easy to find in La Paz. There is a very good restaurant on site with some Mexican traditional food alongside more American choices. There's a nice pool too and outdoor bar area.

The hotel is newer and part of the larger CostaBaja development (condos, marina, & restaurants for rich North Americans), which is now in phase 2 of construction (more condo's & a golf course). It is out away from town but they do have a shuttle. The Marina it's next to is nice, but mostly deserted when we were there. The breakfast buffet is worth staying for at $12us per person, but go have dinner in town. The rooms were clean and the staff was great. Beds are on the firm side, but we slept OK. One thing to note; this place is apparently very popular with family's so be ready for a lot kids that pretty much take over the pool in the afternoon.
I’ve stayed in almost all the hotels in La Paz and most are in serious need of a remodel, plus the Los Arcos is closed indefinitely. This is as good as it gets right now.

We stayed for 15 nights room only and dived with FunBaja at the Costabaja Marina just a few minutes walk away. The hotel is spotless throughout and reception staff are extremely helpful. The rooms and beds are comfortable, the buffet breakfast hot, plentiful & tasty, if a bit expensive - we ate breakfast and dinner at the Marina and also burger & fries at Applebee's in the town. There was a free shuttlebus from the hotel to La Paz between 8am to 8pm. As this is a business hotel, rather than tourist, , the hotel was very quiet and the pool area was only busy during the weekend. The diving appears to be expensive ($135 per person per day for 2 tanks & weights) but this includes everything - permits, tax & the most wonderful lunch on a secluded eco beach, or lunch on the boat if the dive site is too far away. FunBaja really looked after us and we would happily recommend them. The water was cold though with sites ranging from a very chilly 19 to 26, so 5mm suits are a must! You must go to the sealion colony - we dived it 3 times and loved every minute! All in all, a very good holiday indeed..

We stayed one night after a sailboat trip on the Sea of Cortez. The Marina area is great with lots of nice restaurants. Try Twin Palms and Azul Marina. We had a lovely room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool and bay. The rooms are very typical of Mexico, in that they are tiled and not carpeted. You do hear noise in the hallways, but we found it to be very quiet overall, especially at night. The service was impeccable, clearly they are feeling the effects of the economy, so everyone was extremely polite, helpful, at your service. Most of the staff speak English, which is not common in La Paz. They have terrific free wireless internet in the rooms as well as a great business center which is open 24/7 with several computers to use and a printer. There are several nice swimming pools, including a lap pool. We did not swim, but saw reviews saying they are not heated, so too cold in the winter months. We didn't test the water. There is also a nice gym next to the lap pool. Overall, we were more than satisfied and would definitely stay there again.
