We had the pleasure of being a guest of Gail and Chalo at Las Gaviotas January 18th to 22nd, 2012. Firstly the room was huge 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and balcony where the view I'm sure is 2nd to none in La Paz!
The morning gathering by the pool at breakfast made a wonderful start to our action packed day in La Paz first some wonderful conversation then a yummy and nutritious breakfast.
We went to La Paz mainly for the water activities and my husband managed to check off swimming with whale sharks from his bucket list - such a momentous occasion and we didn't have to spend days and hours searching our very first morning there we took a walk along they malecon saw a boat for hire and for a mere $25 we were on our way out looking for the whale sharks within 45 minutes of embarking on our adventure my husband was in the water trying to keep up with an 18 foot whale shark.
We discussed our interest in heading out for the day to the island and originally were planning on booking the same company that we went out whale sharking with however Gail filled us in on a smaller more personal operator and we went with them and had a fantastic day, great lunch, dolphins, hump backs, sea lions, frigget birds, flying manta rays and the list goes on all for a very reasonable fee.
All in all we had a fantastic time and will definately return and bring another couple or maybe our boys to share the suite as there was loads of room and of course return to visit our new friends Gail, Chalo and Brad.
