“Great people, great value”

Stayed one night at Hotel Mision Santa Isabela in Ensenada - easy to find and easy to park. Steve/Esteban at the front desk is super nice and helpful. Simple, clean, quiet, nice sized rooms with comfortable beds are what you will find here. The bathroom is clean but could use some repainting especially in the shower. Bottled water dispensers are located on each floor of the two story building. Secure parking around back. Nice swimming pool but too cold for swimming in December. Great location with all tourist spots, bars, etc within easy walking distance. If you're looking for something fancy consider Coral and Marina or Las Rosas but for a great deal consider this one.

“Charming, centrally located hotel in a great area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2010

The Mision Santa Isabel is within walking distance of everything and just steps away from the start of the main shopping street. Quiet, clean and staffed by helpful front desk personnel (especially Steve and Benito), this very reasonably priced hotel is a bargain. The rooms all front around a central courtyard with a small pool. This is not the US so don't expect a soulless Holiday Inn. Stray a bit from the main tourist areas/streets and eat with the locals. Look for restaurants with only Mexicans eating in them, try the taco stands at night, eat at the fish market (Mary's is wonderful), drink Tecate at Hussongs and enjoy this very friendly little city. The wine route is also well worth a day trip.

“relaxed”

the hotel is a beautiful old mission. Beautiful rooms and nice price. Right on the shopping strip. And it's relaxing.

“Older hotel, clean with lots of charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2008

I'm very picky and when I visit Ensenada, I love to stay here. It is very safe, very clean, walking distance to EVERYTHING! Parking has security 24/7. Give the security a tip, he will take special care of you --- NOT THAT YOU NEED CARE in Ensenada. It is a very safe place near the ocean. Love it!

  • Liked — looks like an old hacienda/location/sleep very well, very quiet & clean
  • Disliked — nothing

“Very Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2008

I stayed at this place on 4/28/08 for two nights. The place was very quiet and it was very nice. The pool area was clean and relaxing. Actually it was very relaxing even though it is located in the heart of the main area. The front desk was very helpful with directions or recommendations. I would not hesitate to return and an added bonus is the fact that it was only 49.00 a night.
