“Absolutely Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

My wife and I walked part of The Sandstone Trail starting from The Pheasant (Pub) at Higher Buwardsley (going south)the views on the trail are absolutely wonderful, looking across the Cheshire plain, (the trail goes through the ancient woodland of Bickerton Hill)did 2 hours then 2 hours back to The Pheasant for lunch. which was very good
OK now the inportant bit Churton Heath Farm ( 10 min drive from pub) we travel a lot and this place is definately one of our all time favourite farm house B & B's:- Great welcome/beautiful house/excellent room/perfect breakfast/etc etc etc its just great.
Had our evening meal 5 min down the road in The Grosvenor at Aldford this was also spot on. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

“The perfect place, quiet, clean, very friendly atmosphere, just unique.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2011

I my wife Anna and daughters Martina aged 9 and Francesca aged 4 stayed at Churton Heath Farm from the 12th to the 19th December 2010 that is 7 nights. We found a very cosy house, our room was equipped with everything one might need during a holiday, breakfast was just great and abundant. Great hospitality from every member of the family! We highly recommend it and hope to come again.

“If i had to use one word Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

The farm house is beautiful set in views that are stunning. Rooms are beautifuly decorated warm and inviting. Vanessa the owner could not do enough to make sure we were happy to the point of making sure our taxi arrived for a night out before going out themselves.

The breakast was stunning and considering it was after new years eve i dont think i could of coked that early. You also got the feeling there was no rush to the point as we went to leave about check out time the question was asked are you leaving already.

I cannot recommend Churton Heath Farm enough and i'm not somebody that is easily pleased. Will be staying there again. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, beautiful and great service near chester this is the place for you!

Thank you for a perfect evening!

“Absolutely Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2010

What a fantastic find! The room was large and very clean, the bed was really comfortable and all the extra touches were appreciated-sherry, potato chips, gorgeous toiletries etc. The breakfast was really tasty and filling-we did not need lunch! The owner, Vanessa was delightful and friendly. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! We will go back!

“Home From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2010

My partner and I in the over 60 age group were taking my 86 year old mother on a short driving holiday to make up for the fact that she can no longer fly.
We decided that it would be nice to see Chester and so booked, on line, three nights at the Churton Heath.
This is a working farm ideally situated just a short drive outside the walls of Chester. It was wonderful waking up in the mornings to the sound of cattle lowing and pigs grunting contentedly in the fields around.
We went into Chester in the mornings but returned to the farm for a rest each afternoon. In the evenings we went back to Chester for dinner. As you are given a front door key in addition to your room key, there is no trouble returning at any time of the day or night.
The quality of the warm welcome continued throughout the whole of our 3 night stay. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and they went out of their way to see that our mini-holiday was perfect.
The rooms were warm and comfortably furnished. The extras were superb. Towels, including a facecloth and bathrobes were luxuriant. Soaps, shampoo, body wash and lotions of a very high quality were provided.
The breakfasts were a dream with many choices including cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and the more traditional English breakfast. The food was beautifully cooked and would have done justice to a 5 star hotel.
All in all this is a wonderful home away from home and I would have no hesitation recommending this to anyone.
