“Quiet nice hotel – good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

We’ve recently stayed in Buri Tara and were pleasantly surprised. First we booked a deluxe room but upon check in we were upgraded to a Pool Access room. The room was modern, spacious and clean, with super comfortable bed. The only lowlight I would say it was the AC that I thought was a bit noisy.

The hotel is well situated – 5 min away from the beach and 10 min easy walk away from the restaurants and shops area.

If you want a quiet place yet in the close proximity of the touristy area, this is the place you want to stay in.

My experience with buritara is not so comfortable as it looked to be.The buffet spread was very ordinary with no variety at all, even the items were repeated. There was no power in one of the nights, although it was cool but i felt little uncomfortable. The swimming pool area was not so clean. The staff was hospitable and did not charge for my childs breakfast. The room was large with king-size bed and the amenities was good.

Room Tip: Market is walking distance from the hotel. There is a departmental shop oppositewhere u can get your...

“Deluxe room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

This was my second time at this hotel, after a stay there in 2009. we stayed here again in november 2011 for 3 nights

We had the deluxe room on the second floor, which was great! Our room was clean and tidy, as a general observation the rooms could have been more generous in size, but as we were often travelling this was no hassle. The highlight was the big buffet breakfast!

Our first visit back in 2009, it appeared they had much better customer service (hence why we came back the second time). But this time when we arrived back to our hotel every evening, we felt ignored and some staff didn't even greet us, just gave us the keys. We felt some of the staff were apathetic and not engaging in a freindly manner with the customers. A big exception to this is a lady named 'Karen' whom was excellent and compensated for the others. She was excellent and had great customer service. The other staff could learn much from her service and dedication she shows.

Overall great hotel, but customer service from the other reception staff could be much more improved.

“Large rooms, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

We had a lovely stay here for 4 nights before we escaped the hustle and bustle to chill out on Koh Lanta.

The rooms are large and clean, with kingsized beds which are really comfy. The staff are lovely, really friendly and helpful. The hotel is far enough away from the noise of Ao Nang but still only a short walk if you like that sort of thing! Breakfast is ok. Lunch and dinner are better.

For sun worshippers - the pool area is great for sunbathing but only until mid afternoon.

We had a pleasant stay.
