We booked THE CLIFF at Ao Nang on the net less than 2 hours before arriving, just before leaving Kao Sok national park to the North.

The receptionist presented our registration document calmly in a folder like we had been expected for weeks - we were impressed, we were sure they would pick not up on it in time for our arrival. The valet was standing by to carry luggagge, we were off to our room without delay.

First impressions were of something from a calmer more elegant time, it was almost hidden away, while still being just off the main street, just a little further out than the noisy bars, but still easy walking to the beach. It was interesting to learn that it was one of the earliest hotels established in Ao Nang.
it was cool quiet luxury with a bit of flare - a boutique hotel if you like.

The room was tasteful with natural colours/items/fabrics - bamboo etc, loved the bathroom with garden.
Very private, sitting round the pool you felt like you were very far away from the bustle, it felt private and exclusive, there were terrific views of great limestone kasts - hence the name THE CLIFF. Be sure to get the right Cliff hotel - it's THE CLIFF opposite Yamaha building.

The staff were delightful and a special mention to the very capable, charming and efficient manager - Pimchana - who was more than helpful - organising trips, giving advice and all with a very personal touch. She and 'The Cliff' will go far, we cannot recommend it highly enough.

I feel bad because the staff here gave me such incredible service.

This hotel is not for everybody. Rooms are olden thai style and there is an outdoor toilet. My wife didn't really like the place because it was too outdoorsy with insects and whatnot.

Place is also a bit run down with bits and pieces falling off.

Great if you are the adventurous type but otherwise stick to the usual brand name hotels.

Don't be put off by the busy road because just down the drive is a haven away from all the madness. Beautiful style with charm and character with wonderful views of the limestone cliffs and stacks. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very well equipped.The staff are very helpful without being in your face! Although breakfast was good they can't quite get the hang of courses - they bring fruit, toast, fruit and cook breakfast all at the same time. 10 mins walk down to the beach, loads of eating places round about. Laundry service is a bit pricey - do as we did and take it to one of the local services advertised.

We had 6 great days at The Cliff Ao Nang Resort in early 2012.

The Cliff Ao Nang Resort is positioned as a beautiful and quiet oasis in the heart of Ao Nang and the hotel is built close to nature and you can enjoy the magnificent views - the mighty cliffs - while the service from every staff member is on the absolute top level.

Everything was nice, clean and well maintained and the service was very good and unique.

We chose to eat at the restaurant at The Cliff Ao Nang Resort every evening during the entire stay and here secured A and Lai an excellent service and the chef delivered the largest positive culinary experience we had in Thailand, and this at a price which was very competitive with the best restaurants in Ao Nang.

We have already decided to visit the site again to relive the good service, surroundings and the superb dining experience.
