“One of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Our room had a bed so big I lost my wife. It must have been 7ft wide. The room was finished to an extremely high spec and had a balcony overlooking the bay - which was simply amazing when the storms came - with lightning lighting up the whole sky. The food was truly excellent and staff were courteous and welcoming.

Room Tip: Any! But ones with a view of the bay.

“nice hotel ,great staff ,needs some sprucing up”

the staff were courteous, the manager welcoming and interested in our well being.since it was low season we got the rooms with the best view.the rooms were spacious clean, the bathroom huge and well maintained.whilst booking make sure that breakfast is included and if possible ask for an airport transfer.the breakfast is superb and they prepared a mean vegetarian thai curry for us at lunch on two occasions.the ao nang beach and shops are about 10 minutes walking distance.the hotel has drop facilities to the beach by van at fixed hours.we fixed trips to phi phi islands and four islands at the hotel itself rather than at places on main ao nang beach.a good decision as pick ups and return are clockwork.i came here on the recommendation of a friend and would in turn recommend the hotel to people i know.as we were leaving some sprucing up had begun..,o yes, there are two swimming pools and a kiddie's pool.

Room Tip: rooms on the fifth floor,505,506 507

“Thai-style Hotel with room for improvement”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2011

Loved the Thai feel in the hotel's furnishing, as well as the three-tier pools. As the hotel has little guests, it was quiet and peaceful throughout my stay. And that is good for me cause every holiday is an escape from urban life for me. However, the rooms are quite dirty looking, with stains on the bed frame and bathroom walls.

“Terrible ....keep looking...not even close to 4 star!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

I was totally overwhelmed with the choices for hotels in AoNang and so I just picked this one. Upon arrival I was shown to my room to find a dirty toilet, a bathroom tap that was not connected to the plumbing and when I tried to call the front desk, the phone didn't work. I walked to the desk and explained my situation, I was shown a new room on the top floor with a street view as far from the lobby as possible. I said no that is not acceptable, I would like a refund and am moving hotels...then I was shown a room on the main floor just off the lobby and pool.....interesting.
The room was passable....expect when I was just about to fall asleep I heard the scratching and rustling of rats in the ceiling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That took a lot to talk myself to sleep that night.
The location is terrible too....it is a good 15 minute walk to the beach along a road with NO sidewalk and the cabs/tuk tuks do not wait there. You can take a tuk tuk back to the hotel from the main strip for about $2
The "free breakfast" that was included in my reservation was not free and they explained that it would cost 450 baht...after I was done eating.
I was travelling alone so I tried dinner in the hotel restaurant. When I noticed there was no other diners there and the waiter was asking me if I was travelling alone and was I lonley....I should have left then.
There is no wireless service and the cards are quiet expensive (200baht for 60 minutes)

All in all the pool was nice, but that was all redeeming about this hotel.

“Avoid this like the plague”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2010

Having been bumped from our chosen hotel the Phu Petra, we had the misfortune to stay at the Pavillion. I am not sure which of the; 6 inches of stagnant water in the basement, or the mould on the Walls or indeed the holes in the ceilings made us dislike this hotel the most. On reflection I think it was probably the blood on my 4 year olds sheets that clinched it. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. As for the gym and the spa, the damp Walls and mould would mean you were less healthy after using the facilities than before you visited. I would rather sleep on the beach.
