First impression was good, but then I've experienced something that was a shock for me and my family! I was denied to swim in the swimming pool! Why?? Because I was covered!
I've also had a room in the first floor without lift, and it's not easy if you have a baby.
Also you cannot have a good sleep in this hotel! The conditioning is very noisy. After complaining, the reception said that they have this problem in all their rooms!
I did REGRET my stay in this Hotel.

My family have stayed at this Hotel and rave about it saying that it is the best Hotel in Tunisia so I went with family and friends to eat there in the restaurant and take a look around. the food was excellent with a lot of choice. Drinks are separate unless you take on full board. We paid 35 dinars each for the buffet dinner (approx £15) without drinks. The Hotel is very popular with the Italians. the beach was beautiful and very clean. I didn't visit the rooms or the thalasso but again have been told that they are excellent. I intend to visit again and stay there but it appears that package holidays are only available in France, Italy and Switzerland. English websites advertise it but when you try to book nothing is available.

As seems to be a problem in tunisia, service and food are not up to expectations of a Western tourists so one must bear this in mind. Nevertheless, if the hotel is four star then I'd expect certain standards to be met. Especially since the price is comparable to parts of Western Europe. The room had no bottled water for guests. the towels were almost threadbare and hardly crisp. And no provision was made for handsoap. The hotel has a really nice pool to lounge in and the beach next to the hotel is splendid. The breakfast was not too bad with a decent buffet selection and coffee but 10am is far too early for a cut off especially since the staff start removing things at 9:45. The attention to detail that one would expect was lacking overall with the room safe also out of order. These small oversights should be rectified.

The Hotel Africa Jade is a smart building just set back from a lovely beach near Korba. As we arrived we couldn't help but be impressed. On first looks quite stunning. But the quality of the service and the feeling that the hotel was really trying to extract as much money from you as possible seriously detracted from us what could have been a lovely week.

I have never stayed in a hotel that markets itself as a luxury four star hotel which then charges a daily rate for use of a safe or minibar - then advertises as having a fitness suite then charges 15dinar - around 8-9 euros for a two hour session. The Thalasso prices were about the same as London.

There was a really really bad fly problem when we were there. I'm used to travelling around - a few flies do not bug me. But when we went down one morning for breakfast there were thousands and thousands of flies in the breakfast room, bowls of honey/jam were black with them and as soon as you put anything down on your table and blinked you were guaranteed that 10-20 flies will have settled on your table. We got back from a day out one day and found 40-50 in our room which the cleaning staff had let in. Sitting on the beach or by the pool we found flies crawling all over our face and landing everywhere - this was disgusting.

The hotel charges 4-5 times markup on basics like water. Unfortunately there is a supermarket 100m down the path that sells food and drink at normal prices. So the hotel then places security guards at the gate to make sure that you don't subversively bring in bottles of water or food. We went to the beach, brought back a half empty bottle of water and were then informed that it wasn't allowed. Not taking this we tried to walk straight through the gate at which point my girlfriend was physically stopped from walking any further by a rude bad tempered security guard. I do not expect this from a hotel of this quality.

The animation team were all Italian - they were clearly very friendly if you were Italian too, but everyone else tended to get ignored.
