“Wont be back...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Stayed 1 night 12 Feb 2011 with my boyfriend.

Booked this room through Late Rooms for £29 for the night. I am so so glad I didnt pay anymore for this room as it simply isnt worth it. Its a 2 star budget hotel for a reason. It had snowed a lot when we stayed and the car park was just like sheets of ice... not been treated at all so very very dangerous.Luckily the taxi pick up point is undercover and the ground was clear... otherwise I dont know how I would have stayed upright in my heels!

The room is.....Pretty good size, two chairs and a desk, full length mirrosr,Old fashioned heater on the wall.... tv with about 6 channels, jeez move onto freeview at least! Bathroom was actually OK apart from a stink coming up from the sink when running hot tap... shower nice and warm so cant complain and a nice large shower too so you're not bashing your arms when trying to shave your legs. I dont even know where to start about the bed... a thin mattress on top of a sheet of wood on legs... that is the best way I can describe it. It wasnt what I was expecting at all. Was a little unsure it would even take the weight of two "normal sized" people! Luckily we didnt fall through.... but my god we didnt have a very good sleep cos it was so uncomfortable. I kept waking in the night and my sides were hurting through being so uncomfy so I had to turn over.

An advantage is the 12 noon check out time.

Didnt sample any food so cant comment.

Dont think I shall be staying here again, I think its a little too budget for me... I can sleep anywhere but I was just purely uncomfortable here. Back to the premier inns I go. They are far far better. Dont pay £48+ for these rooms, go to premier inn, Ive stayed in the Lincoln one before and there is NO comparison, Premier Inn is far better for a budget type of hotel.

We appreciate all feedback so thank you for taking the time to write your review, however I was disappointed to read your comments regarding your stay. I will look into the points that you made, however it is important to note that the heating is individually powered for each room in the hotel and is not switched on or off across the whole hotel. As part of our energy saving and commitment to our environmental policy, as with other hotels the power to each room is activated by your key card upon entering the room. I hope that this answers some of your queries and that we may welocme you back in the hotel again some time in the future. Regards, Dave Amans.

“5 weeks in the ibis”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I had a 5 week stay in this hotel due to a training course in Nov/Dec 2011.
If I had to go and do the course again I would be seeking a better hotel to stay in due to the fact sleeping there is a nightmare due to building vibrations.
On many occasions I was woke up by loud vibrations through the whole building normally in the early hours !!!!!!!
Only good thing about the hotel is the 2 meals of £10 pub next door !!!!!!

“Comfort and value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Having stayed at this hotel twice before I expected no less than the very best quality and comfort for the excellent value. Ibis Hotel in Lincoln came up trumps on all counts, even though there were a lot of road works outside due to a new estate being built.

“It's cheap for a reason”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

I made the mistake of choosing Ibis instead of Premier Inn for my most recent business trip. The first room I was given had a dirty toilet (I won't go into detail) and there was a bad sewer smell coming from the shower drain so I asked to move. The next room was much better but the soundproofing is non-existent so I was treated to the sounds (and smells) of my neighbours cooking curry in their room. (Yes, cooking ...) The food in the cafe was diabolical so perhaps my neighbours had the right idea and I ended up going to bed hungry. The cooked breakfast was just as bad with soggy bacon, rubbery scrambled eggs and cardboard sausages. Fortunately there was cereal and yoghurt which they couldn't really mess up. Most tables were taken at breakfast by a mixture of people and I stopped counting how many times I heard the word 'f!*#ing' being used by other diners when I got to 40. The staff I spoke to were trying their best but my advice is to give this place a wide berth and book elsewhere.
