Stayed at hotel during a recent family stay. While surroundings were well landscaped and the scenery was beautiful, the villas were poorly kept. Old and tasteless linen and comforters, bathroom in dire need of updating, roaches and other insects in rooms....I could go on. Review would have gotten only one star but staff was very friendly and did try to make my stay more pleasureable. Hard to do with such poor housing. Definately not worth the high prices they charge!

I must share our great experience with everyone, because some people don't appreciate what a nice time you can have while staying at Villas de Sotomayor: relaxing on a hammock, enjoying delicious food from the hotel restaurant, discovering the beauty of nature (for example: horseback riding, kayaking, hiking in the Guilarte forest, visiting the animal farm), or just sleeping in on a cold morning with the one you love....I find these small moments in life to be very gratiying when your daily routine is full of fast pace living and no attention to the small pleasures that a weekend getaway can offer. I was impressed by how wrong the prior negative feedback was since I found the hotel to be very clean, customer service and hospitality was excellent, food was great, and the hotel surroundings were beautiful. I guess you actually have to take the time to enjoy these things so that you can actually appreciate them so maybe others before me have only focused on small inconveniences when rating their stay. So, pay no attention to vicious feedback that disregards all that Villas de Sotomayor can represent for a people seeking a great time which is what I did and I was pleasantly surprised.

This place just could not Handle our group the rooms are terrible and the owner just doesn't now how to deal with people and the staff is not trained to deal with guest. It's better to stay in a camping tent. Just do not stay in this place. The worst parador in PR.

People who likes nightlife, the best option is San Juan, but if you want just keep in touch with nature, do some horse riding, kayaling and visit the lake. This is a great opportunitty.
The food and wine selection is good and Adjuntas people are so kind. I visited also Hacienda Monte Alto and saw the process to develop excellent cofee from the mountains. One advise ask the local for locations and what to see, they will help you with a smile.
