“Faultless”

I really can't praise Ardeonaig Hotel enough, from arrival to departure the whole experience was wonderful.
The location is fantatstic and the hotel very charming but the hospitality and attention to detail is what makes this hotel special, the staff could not have made us more welcome.
The dining experience also could not be faulted, I had run out of adjectives by the end of the night with each course somehow managing to be as good as the previous.
Service was impeccable from enthusiastic staff who delighted in explaining each course and obviously take great pride in what they are presenting, breakfast was a very pleasant surprise with a menu I had not expected.
I will be back.

It is hard to put such an amazing experience into words. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm and welcoming, quickly offering to take my bag to my room, and anything else they could do to help. This attitude continued throughout the whole stay, especially during the meal where the staff were very attentive and friendly; nothing was too much trouble. Although, as stunning as the views were, and as helpful as the staff, the highlight of my stay has to be the food. The chef is obviously very passionate about his job and this translated clearly into the dishes put in front of us. Each course was presented beautifully, full of all kinds of flavours which combined perfectly. I’ll admit I am no Foody myself, however I have been to a number of Michelin Star restaurants and honestly, I think I enjoyed the food here the most. I could ramble on all day about my experience, but really you need to try it for yourself. Ardeonaig won’t let you down.

“I didn't think it could get better - but it has”

We have stayed at this hotel under the two different owners, and they've both been great in their different ways, so our expectations were already high. The building and the location of themselves are an excellent base in any case.
We were delighted with the experience.
Service was friendly and personal, and as for the food - wow!
The rooms are as good as always, and the lounges and library are great places for a relaxing drink and/or chat - your choice.

The snag of the long journey over rough (very) roads to get there makes the welcome when you arrive all the more - well, welcome!

Reading the other reviews, I don't think I can add much - other than "Go there, I'm sure you won't be disappointed."

“Best food I have”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

We had a great weekend stay, the highlight has to be the quality of the food. 8 courses and then the most wonderful breakfast ever. Truly stunning cooking that I hope gets a star soon! Improvements needed - I don't think the South African theme left over from the previous owners is a good one - lose the animal skins and heads everywhere and soften up the dining room with some good curtains and some rugs. One quibble if you ask for tap water they put it in a bottle and then charge you £2.50 - not good!

“Superb overnight stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

What a fantastic experience. Being greeted with an extremely friendly welcome the minute my daughter and I arrived at the Ardeonaig, following a long day shopping and a very wet and windy drive from Stirling, it was instant relief stepping into the warmth and friendly atmosphere with a wonderful log fire in the lounge. The experience continued when we were shown to our room, beautifully presented with high standard of furnishing and linnen. Following drinks and canopies served in the lounge we were then shown to the beautifully presented dinning room where we had a gastronomic delight, of food that was presented as a pure artistic creation and the description of the food that was given by James made the experience all the more exceptional. Arriving in the dark meant we were unable to veiw the hotel grounds and surrounding country side, but what this meant was, utter surpirse and amazment at the beauty of the location took our breath away while we sat and ate a breakfast that was as superb as the meal the evening before
