Our family of five spent three February nights at Valentine's in a two bedroom suite – and found it a comfortable, convenient base for Pink Sand beach, sunning in the heated pool, and dining and golf carting around Dunmore town. As noted before, these are condos for rent, newly and well appointed with modern fixtures and efficiently cleaned. The beds were comfortable, large bathrooms spotless, and A/C and fans working perfectly. The heated pool was terrific. Pictures from previous reviews are still up to date.
Pink Sand beach is an easy golf cart jaunt away, where Valentine's has lounge chairs and umbrellas right where the public access (straight down Clarence Street) reaches the beach; you should confirm with the front desk that the umbrellas are deployed the first time you go down.
The only downside was our garden view suite did :not: have Wi-Fi - they acknowledged problems with their service - and the DVD player was missing an audio cable. Note that roosters are ubiquitous island-wide, so light sleepers should bring precautionary earplugs.
Dunmore Town is easy for families. We didn't eat at Valentine's. We ate breakfasts in our suite. Arthur's Bakery had lovely pastries and bread, and Avery's, Dunmore Deli, the conch shacks, and particularly Sip Sip were good for lunches and Coral Sands was very good for dinner. Finally, we liked Dilly Dally for souvenirs, and the snorkeling trip out of Valentine's dive resort went fine.
