“Sprawling, long walks, few restaurant options”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed here for two nights. Fortunately checkin before 14:00 hours was possible for us, we had arrived around 10:30 and really appreciated getting a room. However, our room was the greatest possible distance from the front door, we were in building six and at the very end of the hallway from the elevator. Our room had a great view of the pools at the rear of the building. They are strangely laid out such that you must walk around the entire property to get to the far side of the pool where the loungers reside.

The safe in the room was the largest we have yet seen in hotel rooms, large enough for our lap top to comfortably sit.

The service directory boasted three restaurants, but we only found two that were open. The Sankuru restaurant was the better of the two, but beware, they will not sit couples at the Teppanyaki Tables even if you have reservations....unless you kick up a fuss, which is what we did during our second visit.

Breakfast (incuded with the room charge) in the hotel consists off much bread and cereal, with only a few meat or egg selection.

Room Tip: Ask for something closer to the elevators and facing the pool areas.

Dear Guest,

Thank for very much for your feeback. According to your comments I would like to tell you that we are going to have a better gym in a few months. We have three restaurants, however one of them has been under renovetion but it will be ready next month. It is going to have a beautiful desing and magnificient menu.

As you might have seen, the property is huge however, even though you have to walk around you are able to enjoy our gorgeous garden or visit the orchid green house. Our goal is that our guests experience a place where you feel happy, comfortable, relax surrounded by nature.

Best regards,

Maximiliano Ruiz V.

“Nice place but not like the pictures”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I stayed here for 6 nights during a business trip. Overall the property is okay but the pictures and the entrance are certainly more updated then the rest of the hotel. The rooms are good but dated (and I am on the executive floor). The staff on the executive floor is very friendly and helpful.

My biggest complaint is that the 'gym' is almost nothing, a treadmill, eleptical trainer and a bike (all are very old). I did not think this would be a problem as they state that they offer 'free' access to a nearby country club with an olympic size pool and new gym. When I asked about the club it was again said to be free but when I went to go...the cost was $50 per visit! The front desk staff who had minutes earlier said it was free said "sorry" it just changed and that they did not know. In any case a 'bait and switch' which was dissapointing.

Dear Guest,

We are pleased you had a nice stay with us. We owe you an appology for the inconvenience with the club facilities. In fact, we are going to improve the gym with new equipment that it will be ready in a few months. We have the agreement with the club nearby becuase we want to give the chance to play golf to those guests interested on. However, if they want to use the rest of the facilities they have to pay an extra fee. Once again, thank you for sending us this feeback, we hope to see you soon.

Warmest regards,

Maximiliano Ruiz V.

“Huge room with view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We stayed here for 2 nights before our Windstar cruise. We had a huge room with a view of the pool. Very nice bathroom, good breakfast. The gentleman at the airport meeting people was a joy to talk with, he gave us many tips of things to do in the general area of the hotel. We saw him again later at the hotel and chatted some more. The desk people helped us find the best cost for a taxi to a friend's house. We would definitely stay there again.

“NOTHING BUT THE BEST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 12-days and loved every single day. The staff there are very professinal and very helfpful . The breakfast buffet was always good and loved the fruit. Our room was always clean and never had a problem with any type of noise, other than my boyfriends snoring. The only complaint we had, was how cold the pool water was, it was very cold and we never got to enjoy the wet bar because the water was always so cold and not to mention the wet bar was never open.
We would like to thank the management for allowing my family from Costa Rica to come and spend the day with me at the hotel. It was my first time meeting my parents and my siblings. I just want to thank you for helping me welcome them. Thank you Cindy, Carlos and everyone for all your help.

Room Tip: the suites are wonderful. Very homie and feels like your at home.
