“A piece of Heaven”

We just returned today after spending a week in Great Exuma at February Point. The island is as beautiful as the people who live there, and February Point is a true gem! Sasha was wonderful, Bamboo Bistro serves incredible dinners (thanks Suzy and Shan!), and the view from the Royal Villa was unsurpassed. Rent a boat from Minn's and explore the Stocking Island and the surrounding beaches. The waters are clear and the most beautiful hues of blue, and getting around to the most gorgeous and secluded beaches on earth is like walking out your back door. Thanks to everyone we met, this has become our favorite vacation place. Jamaica, Mexico, St. Lucia, and Hawaii just don't compare after this vacation. We will surely be back!

“Can't say enough good things about February Point and Exuma!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

I was amazed by the pictures and reviews that I read about February Point and Exuma but seeing it in person was even 100 times better. My husband and I travelled to February Point for our honeymoon on December 4th -16th and I already want to go back. Sasha was a huge help from start to finish and made us feel at home the whole time.

We stayed in the Royal Villa (FF) and it was amazing! Sasha made arrangements to have us picked up at the airport and dropped off right at the villa. We arrived to Christmas music playing and it was the perfect introduction to February Point. The community pool and restaurant is located just a couple minute walk from the villa. The food at the restaurant is amazing and the waitresses (Shan & Suzy) were very sweet.

We rented a car to travel around the island but you can easily get everywhere by boat as well. It's literally a 2 minute drive into town for groceries/liquor/banking/souvenir shops etc. Would suggest making the trip to:
-Santana's Grill to meet Dee and the food is great.
-Catch a Fire has amazing sunset views and great atmosphere.
-Fish Fry on Friday nights is a fun expereince and a great chance to mingle with the locals.
-Chat N Chill on Sunday's for the pig roast.
-Tropic of Cancer Beach - Amazing white sandy beach, beautiful blue ocean makes for the perfect afternoon.

I would highly recommend going on a boat tour with Captain Jerry Lewis. He toured us around the island and showed us everything from starfish, turtles, sponges, dolphins, stingrays, caves and sandbars. The sandbar was the highlight of the trip for us!

We took the day trip to the Exuma Cays and it was beautiful. We seen all kinds of animals including swimming pigs, stingrays, nurse sharks and iguanas. Also toured around celebrity homes (Faith Hill & Tim Magraw, David Copperfield, Nicolas Cage etc).

Overall I can't say enough good things about February Point and Exuma. I can't wait to plan my next trip and come back to Exuma. It more than exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend travelling to February Point. Everyone including the staff/locals/tour guides were very nice and helpful. Best vacation ever!!

“Best Vacation Ever, Honestly!”

We just got back 2 days ago from the most beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable vacation ever! We stayed for 2 weeks in the beautiful Tangerine Villa, which featured 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, infinity edge pool, golf cart and all the necessities as well as some extras. We were travelling with 2 little ones (3 and 16 months) so we require a few extras - like crib, high chair... but were very pleased to come across 2 bed rails and beach/pool toys!

Upon arrival, Sasha had our groceries set up for us (Thank you!) and the house was spotless and very inviting and relaxing music was playing throughout the house. It was a Sunday so we had prearranged to have some groceries purchased in advance as the stores were closed. (Definitely do this if you are arriving late in the day or on a Sunday)

The highlights of our trips were definitely the boating trips, Chat N Chill and sitting on one our covered porches. We rented a car for the entire 2 weeks and used it quite a bit. We visited almost all the restaurants and a few public (private) beaches. Almost every beach on this island seems private because nobody else is there, which I loved. This is a very chill island. It's a place to relax and kick back and just take things slow. Don't expect Disney World or an all-inclusive.... but it has everything you need, especially beauty.

Our favourite restaurant was Bamboo Bistro, which is located right on the property and is one of my favourite restaurants, anywhere. The service was amazing, the chef and food was even better. The seafood bisque is to die for.. and the salmon and grouper dishes were my favourite!

February Point did a wonderful job finding the best staff, from the management to the cleaners. Everyone we met on the property was amazing!

Our kids were happy and discovering new things all the time - sting rays, huge star fish, fish, crabs, etc....

The weather was amazing. I have never been so relaxed and content on a vacation and really didn't want the 2 weeks to end.

February Point has exceeded my expectations... and I can't wait to move in!

“Great Escape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

I visited February Point with my wife this past week and I have to say it was an absolute delight! Our stay was filled with beautiful days on the turquoise waters and filled with the vivid orange skies of the sunset. The Staff was very helpful. Our first day we had a little mishap with our luggage being left behind in Florida and Sasha (our little angel) went out of her way that night to drive us to the airport so we could retrieve our bags. The restaurant was absolutely spectacular. I have never had grouper so fresh and risotto so delightfully prepared. Our villa (serenity) was perfect!! Ocean views that blow your mind every morning that you wake up in master bedroom. Thank you February Point staff, I will make sure we make it back soon!!

Yours,

Michael & Stacy W

“shouldn't be called a 'resort'”

We rented a house through VRBO for a 4 bedroom, oceanfront home with private pool. The price was much better than the homes listed on the February Point website.
We did get to use the 'amenities' at Feb. point however were discouraged to see the lack of amenities on the premises.
After a couple of nights, we decided to use the tennis courts and try a game or two with our kids and friends while trying to avoid being bitten by the mosquitos.
Godfrey from the front gate was initially very warm and receptive when we first arrived however turned really rude after he figured out that we had been using the Feb. point golfcart which was abandoned across the road from our villa. We filled it with gas, asked a fellow employee if it was okay for us to borrow, and then proceeded to use it over the next couple of days. Then Godfrey took it away and then started turning off the tennis court lights at night and then forbade us from using the courts during the day as he claimed, 'the weather wasn't suitable' as it had just rained for 10 minutes.
I could have been disappointed to pay full price to stay at February Point. The grounds appeared as though they were not properly maintained, public pool was tiny and very dirty. Catamaran had no sail nor webbing. It felt like a ghost town.
Service at the restaurant was excellent, food was good albeit a tad overpriced.

While we welcome all constructive feedback and critiques, February Point and our service staff cannot be accountable to guests who circumvent our rental program and rent directly from homeowners. Our guests are provided a high level of attention and service and that is why VRBO rentals are not encouraged. For sake of saving a management fee, direct owner rental guests most often find themselves as outsiders as undersigned operators may not even be aware guests are staying at the resort. And quite honestly, helping yourself to someone else's property such as golf a cart and using it for days and then complaining that it is rude when discovered is difficult to justify in any circumstance. Admittedly, an equipment breakdown had caused the pool to temporarily appear unkept, but the problem has since been remedied. Please rest assured that any rental guest booking directly with February Point, as per other favourable reviews, have and will continue to enjoy the highest level of service and satisfaction.
