My fiance and I visited Kimberly's place in August of 2009 and it was absolutely wonderful. Those have posted that this is not this Hilton and it is not but it is a close to home as you will ever find. Kimberly and Hensil were most accomodating. They made sure that we had everything that we needed. Hensil was most helpful and showed us a good time. The beaches were breath taking and the Starfish was perfect. I started my day with Kimberly and we had coffee. We loved our stay here and plan to return. I think that you get ten times what you pay for. If you require luxurious accomodations this is not the place to go but if you enjoy people who are friendly and a relaxing vacation make sure you visit! We did not want to leave the island or Kimberly and Hensil. The roosters and Miss Eleuthera (hen with chicks) were really cool!

i can't believe its over. im so tan. i feel so healthy from eating food grown in Kimberly's garden. the most sweet watermelons, mango, and papaya ever!. i have seen some of the most crazy things on this trip. caves that go from one side of the island all the way to the other. i jumped off of an 80 ft cliff. i hung out on a super exotic beach. this beach was where the Atlantic met the Caribbean, and the colors were amazing ! i met some crazy fun locals. i learned so much about the history from kimberly and the others. i went kayaking. snorkeling. i speared a lobster. i took amazing pictures. GO to the BaThS! the queens baths were amazing! The only thing that got to me was that everyone gets up early down there. even the roosters. but this isn't anybody's fault. not even the roosters. I noticed what one had said previously about the chickens and the roosters causing noise in the morning. they are running wild all over the island. kimberly's place isn't the hilton. although i understood this it seems like some people are missing an important tidbit; you're renting a bungalow. anywho, i had the time of my life. i went down for 1 week. i ended up staying for a month. kimberly cut me an awesome deal. i plan on going back. =)

My boyfriend and I both chose Eleuthera because it was someplace that we both have not traveled to. Words cannot describe how beautiful this island is. When I talk about the BEAUTY i dont mean just the overall look of the island. I am talking about the PEOPLE. The people is what makes this ISLAND more APPEALING and ENJOYABLE and would go out of their way to show you a great time. Everyday there was a new adventure awaiting us. This island is a hidden gem, it is not your typical face paced Hot Spot jammed with chains of Hotels and restaurants. Eleuthera is extremely quaint and filled with culture. If you are looking for the faced pace and upbeat city life this is not the place for you. As four our time staying at Morgans Bonefish Harbour. Our cottage was located a few feet away from our landlords house. It was perfect had an upstairs loft and perfect view of Gregorytown's bay. Her estate is filled with alot of life from fresh herb plants such as basil and rosemary to pomegranite and lemon trees that you could pick from. a few yards away you could walk down to her dock and watch the sun drop it the ocean. As for our landlord KIMBERLY, she is the most wonderful and kindest person you will ever meet. she knows everything about the island and will go out of her way to make sure your time there is unbelieveable and she did just that. Kimberly became more than someone that you paid to stay at her place, she is someone that has become a dear friend that will always go back to visit and stay in contact with. So if you are looking for a complete oasis choose MORGANS BONEFISH !!! U WILL NOT REGRET IT!!.

I'm from Barcelona, Spain, 23 years old. my english is not very good but I will try to writte in english because i want that a lot of people can understand my review.

Me and my girlfriend spended 2 weeks in starfish cottage in december 2009, before this we spended 2 month travelling arround USA and it was the perfect site to finish our trip.
The starfish has all that you need, bed for 2 persons, small kitchen, all the thing for cooking and a small table. It has highspeed internet and it works very very fast (more than all the hotels that we went in USA), you have cable tv.

Here in tripadvisor you can read bad reviews about this site, and yes, it is posible that you don't like when you arrive there, but my girlfriend and me were searching something like this, something diferent, you can't find this un USA, this is not an hotel, this site is cheap and safe (my sony vaio was two weeks on the table with the door open all the time), and 30 second walking to the cristal water. You can use the kayaks free (incredible route to the north). It is true that you can find mosquitos ans more small animals here but... now in 2009 we can buy a spray and kill them and thats all. The bed have a net that protect for the mosquitos in the nigth. You need to know that this is Eleuthera, when you will go to the incredible beaches,you will find mosquitos too, and this is a stupid reason to don't go there.

The bathroom is 10 meters to the door of starfish cottage, in my house the bathroom is more far... the shower is exterior but is very good.

Kimberley (the owner) is friendly, and when we were there was with Scott, he help us a lot to choose the best beaches and the best things to do.

If you are looking for luxury this is not your place, if you are looking for a place close the other people in the town (the people most friendly that I know), very cheap, funny (5 minutes to Elvinas), I recomend you this place and I recomend you Eleuthera. I will return here if I can.

If you want to go to Eleuthera to spend all the day in a resort or in an hotel, this is not your island, there are incredible beaches, caves, coral reefs and peoples to know.
We only stayed on the cottage when was dark. And it was perfect after a tired day discovering the island.
Of course that you can feel more confortable in another resort in the island, but you will pay 3 or 4 times more.

And if you decided to go to eleuthera, remember: relax and don't worry.
