“Cabins in Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2012

We came here in early March and rented two of the three cabins. My fiance and I stayed in Seahorse and my mother in Starfish. There is another cabin called Tree tops, I think that is the name. We were all very pleased with our little homes. Seahorse was great! The pictures do not let you see how awesome it is. There is a huge deck right out front that extends the whole length of the cabin. The inside was spacious and quite comfortable with cool decorations. At night we would sit on the deck and stare and the thousands of stars. Our cabin was also the most private with nothing between the sea and us. We had a private, very cute bathroom and a private open air outdoor shower for rinsing off after swiming. There was only cold water in the rinse off shower but the main shower had hot water and doors. The windows open outward and it was so nice to look any which way and see the lovely gardens or the cove. I don't think we shut them once unless it was raining or we were going to bed. My mother's cabin was also very nice but did not have an attached bathroom and it was smaller, you had to walk like ten steps to get to the shared bathroom but it was not a bother for her. She was also right next to the shower. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The path leading to the dock was pretty and an easy walk on a bit of a hill. The dock by the water was a favorite hangout for us. It was neat going down at around 5 and seeing the fish swim under you. We would bring some wine and our radio and just chill. The cove was spotless, the other reviewer must have been there after a storm or something? No garbage just sparkling clear blue water. We took the kayaks out one day and went to see some of the little coves to the right, that was fun. As for the owners Kimy and Terry they were wonderful. Always a sweet hello and do you need anything. Kimy was always floating around if you had any questions. I say floating because she seems like an angel with her long flowing beautiful hair :) While they were there to help they were never intrusive or made you feel like the cabin was not your own private place. The one thing that got us worried was that in the Seahorse the TV was out from the storm, I know, who watches TV in paradise, we do! When we told Kimy we loved to watch a move before bed she informed us that Terry had a blue ray player we could use. Terry came and set it up for us and gave us a selection of movies to watch, he also came every time we could not turn it back on, we are tech impaired! Maybe bring your laptop if you like to watch movies, they have wi-fi. Over all this was a very special spot and we all agree we would return in a heartbeat! Miss you Kimy and Terry, sorry about forgeting to pick up the chair from the deck after the wind blew it off! We left in a bit of a hurry, just made the plane :)

“Interesting Place”

This place is not for everyone but we really enjoyed ourselves. We just used it as an outpost for seeking out the best beaches Eleuthera has to offer (and there are plenty). The best parts were the outdoor shower, the chickens roaming the yard at all hours, and the funky herb/veggie gardens out back. The efficiency kitchen was nice but it was rough finding things in the small convenience stores. The worst part is the view of the harbor in Gregory Town - junk collects there and is really ugly. Cannot beat the price, that is for sure!!!! Hansel was fun to chat with too! He helps with the landscaping!

“wonderful relaxing quiet time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2010

If you are looking for a touristy, trendy place with lots of other people this isnt it. We had great time relaxing and enjoying the island at a slow pace fitted to our needs. Owner knew the island well and went out of her way to make sure we saw the real island and its wonderful friendly people. Got to know a number of people while there and have new friends now. Found many of the local out of the way places to eat and see, along with several places for local professional musicians to Jam several nights a week. Place was comfortable with basic needs met as most all cabin locals usually are. We felt we got far more than we paid for, had a great experiance and will be back again. In fact we are planning a trip there again right now. For those Negative reviews I saw for here all I can say is that if you're looking for that Club-Med vacation then you should have booked with Club-Med, but then you already knew that! For me I came here to relax and got it in abundance. Wonderful time and host!

“Awesome even with the Chickens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2010

My fiance and I visited Kimberly's place in August of 2009 and it was absolutely wonderful. Those have posted that this is not this Hilton and it is not but it is a close to home as you will ever find. Kimberly and Hensil were most accomodating. They made sure that we had everything that we needed. Hensil was most helpful and showed us a good time. The beaches were breath taking and the Starfish was perfect. I started my day with Kimberly and we had coffee. We loved our stay here and plan to return. I think that you get ten times what you pay for. If you require luxurious accomodations this is not the place to go but if you enjoy people who are friendly and a relaxing vacation make sure you visit! We did not want to leave the island or Kimberly and Hensil. The roosters and Miss Eleuthera (hen with chicks) were really cool!

“Perfect Tropical Bungalow Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2010

i can't believe its over. im so tan. i feel so healthy from eating food grown in Kimberly's garden. the most sweet watermelons, mango, and papaya ever!. i have seen some of the most crazy things on this trip. caves that go from one side of the island all the way to the other. i jumped off of an 80 ft cliff. i hung out on a super exotic beach. this beach was where the Atlantic met the Caribbean, and the colors were amazing ! i met some crazy fun locals. i learned so much about the history from kimberly and the others. i went kayaking. snorkeling. i speared a lobster. i took amazing pictures. GO to the BaThS! the queens baths were amazing! The only thing that got to me was that everyone gets up early down there. even the roosters. but this isn't anybody's fault. not even the roosters. I noticed what one had said previously about the chickens and the roosters causing noise in the morning. they are running wild all over the island. kimberly's place isn't the hilton. although i understood this it seems like some people are missing an important tidbit; you're renting a bungalow. anywho, i had the time of my life. i went down for 1 week. i ended up staying for a month. kimberly cut me an awesome deal. i plan on going back. =)
