The Duck Inn was the perfect place to stay for us. The room (Honeypot Studio) was clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable, with a lovely patio and view. The host (John) was very helpful but not oppressive. He was there when we checked in, and was available after that as we needed him. The orchid gardens were a delight to walk through, and the best part was Taco, John's dog, who hung out with us for much of our stay. We would leave our door open, and call for him in the morning, at which point (not before), he'd come into the room with us. Taco also literally showed us the way to the beach, and stayed with us there.
The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. This was a nice way to save a little money by cooking our own breakfasts on occasion.
There's a nice beach about 15 minutes away (by foot). The town is small, but there's a great bakery/cafe right around the corner from the Duck Inn. Also, if you have a car, you must try Tippy's, which is about a 10-minute drive from the Inn. I would recommend renting a car and checking out other beaches, including Lighthouse Point, which is a great spot for privacy. Make sure you go all the way to the end - that's the best spot.
I would gladly go back to the Duck Inn.
