“My Favorite Place”

If you want to relax at a quiet beach and experience water views as good as anywhere in the world, this is your place. There are a couple of good spots to eat, a few great beaches, and gin clear water. The condos are clean, well maintained and right on the beach or right on the marina. There's an activity desk that can plan just about any adventure that you may be looking for. The fishing is outstanding, too. Take the super short ferry ride to North Bimini if you want to dance and have a wilder time.
In Bimini you'll feel like you are 1000's of miles away from the USA. A great place!

“Not a hotel, but condo.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2010

If you stay long, then I would recommend this hotel. The room we stayed had everything you need for long stay, kitchen & laundry machine. Basically this is not a resort hotel, but condo. No room service. The room seemed like someone owns and rents. Well, it's a small southern island, we can't expect too much, maybe. If you dream of luxury resort hotel, I wouldn't recommend. One more to say, high speed internet didn't work at our room...

The sand bar that belongs to this hotel is nice. Actually, we were surprised food quality! It's really good and still reasonable. The bar & restaurant services are both great.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2010

Stayed here for three night with two friends for a girlfriends getaway. The goal was to relax. I rated most things only average- but to be fair I was expecting something different and it may be reflected in my review.

Postives:
- the two bedroom ocean front condos were large and spacious. We opened up to the beach which was beautful and quiet.
- several staff members provided excellent service
- though we did not boat over- looks like a fantastic spot to do so.
- the property was well maintained.
- the drinks were not too badly priced.

Though we were seeking something out of the way- I have to say- I was not expecting this. I would say that for a resort- it was not overly like one.

When we arrived-check in was pretty simple. No one assisted us with our luggage and the walk to the condo was not overly close. We were not given any info about the resort or what was being offered- even logistically.

We were not aware that the only real restaurant was about a mile away on the other property( no lodging except if you had a boat- just a very nice pool area/ private beach and bar). The offer transportation though finding someone to take you is purely up to you.

The bus only worked one day. Transportation then on was a rusted out van whose doors did not close. We found it funny- but then again not everyone would.

The gift shop was very limited in what they sold. The petite conch was just ok- food not so great and very overpriced for what you got. (think velveta cheese)

There was a pool/bar on the main propery but it appeared to be closed except to a private party.

The main pool and beach was great-clean, plenty of seating, and well kept.

The food in the main restaurant was very, very good and what you would expect price wise at a resort. We ate there each night- but it was also our only choice.

We were kind of dissapointed in that we had to take a waterferry to north Bimini to go to a food/liquor store. The goal was to purchase drinks, snacks , fruit, etc- perfect because our condo was large and had a full kitchen. There was very limited options at the store and essentially came back with nothing.

We paid a good amount to stay here- and it was not too bad- just not what we were expecting. I would not call it luxurious and lacked some of the basics that come to mind when thinking resort.

If you go, pls remember to bring fleet or similar pest spray. Like most islands- noseeums can be (and was) a big problem.

Overall- I could suggest this resort if you truly want to relax and not have much to do.

“A wonderful place!”

I took my family to the Bimini Sands for three nights. What a great place. If you want to stay in Bimini this is the place. Very relaxing with a friendly staff. Katie and Grant at the Activities Center are very accommodating and knowledgeable. We all went on the shark encounter and it was great. The accommodations are very comfortable although I wouldn't call them "luxury". I recommend the ocean view, it was right on the beach and the sunsets were perfect. The Petite Conch restaurant was very good and close by. A few minutes on the shuttle and the Bimini Twist/Mackey's Sand Bar are excellent. It is definitely the Bahamas though so don't be in a hurry, things happen when they happen.

“Breath taking beautiful Sea!!!!!!!”

We stayed at non ocean view room, so I kinda regret about it, since the ocean from their condo is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
You can go to Sand Bar and Restaurant (good food) by Hotel bus for free.
PPL are nice and friendly, we changed a schedule the day before, but the hotel had a very flexible attitude. Room was clean, big, comfortable. Stars were beautiful at night, and we could have a good rest at there.
