This was our first stay at Bimini Sands Resort and Marina. We are boaters and have visited Bimini many times over the years. We rented a one bedroom unit and our friends stayed on their boat. The unit was spacious and equipped with all the kitchen conveniences. Since the units are privately owned, you need to bring your own tioletries, beach towels, etc. since they are not supplied by the resort. The marina is well designed and a haven for fishermen. Some of the units back to the beautiful white sand beach. Very private beach area. The pool is very small but most people are out on their boats all day. There is a nice restaurant on the island, but you need to take the island bus to reach it.
Bring your food and beach supplies, since there is nowhere to buy anything on south Bimini. You can take a water taxi to north Bimini for supplies or dining.
We will return, but will be prepared the next time we visit. Great place to relax, and enjoy fishing and water sports.

We flew to south Bimini for Memorial Day weekend. No issues what so ever with customs or the transportation to the resort. We were greeted immediately by Frank Jr., the son of the owner who runs the day to day. The staff in the front office was very friendly and helpful. Our rental condo came with a golf cart which was not working, but we were very fortunate that the owner of the condo lived next door, so she was very kind and let us use her golf cart to get around whenever needed and it was perfect. To be on a quiet tropical island with no noisy cars or traffic!!! Our condo was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, right on the beach. Beautiful decor inside. The kitchen and living room were upstairs which was perfect for watching the sunset from the balcony. We went on a lovely island tour with Grant and katie. they are fabulous! 2 knowledgeable and Eco-friendly professional marine biologists who have lived in Bimini for years, so they know they're way around! It was terrific. We also did a snorkeling trip with them to see the road to Atlantis. The water is beautifully crystal clear. We saw rays, turtles, lots of reef fish, and the nicest living reefs. Dining at bimini sands is 4 star all the way and the night club is awesome. It doesn't matter what u order, it will be phenomenal from the apps to the sushi bar to the main courses and deserts. You will be very pleaseed. We stayed for 4 nights and wish it could have been Longer! We will absolutely return to Bimini Sands as soon as possible! What an amazing get away from the hustle and bustle of south Florida! It's a 16 min flight from fort lauderdale. Go for it! No questions asked.

This is the second year we stayed there. The best on Bimini, but the most expensive also. The condos come with a fully stocked kitchen and a washer/dryer. Bring your own provisions! The condo we had slept 4 big guys comfortably, 3 story’s king bed in loft, king in both bedrooms and pullout couch, 3 bathrooms and the 2-central A/C’s cranked, great after a full day fishing in the sun. Marina has the best floating docks and is fully protected from the wind and waves. Ship store with some provisions, gas and ice. Free Wi-Fi when it worked. We paid $360 a night plus dockage. The fun we had was priceless!

We just returned from a four-day stay at Bimini Sands Resort & Marina on Bimini in the Bahamas. Our kids (girls 16 and 11) were absolutely thrilled by the water-sports activities that we did in the incredibly clear Bimini Blue water. We snorkeled through the wreck of the Sapona (a concrete ship) and also at several other locations along Bimini's live coral reef. Bimini Sands' Activities Staff members Katie and Grant were our guides on these adventures--and also took us on a memorable shark-feeding trip during which we saw five Caribbean reef sharks and a black-nose shark. My husband and I were impressed by the level of service, the beautiful view from our ocean-front villa (a one-bedroom that can sleep up to six people), and the excellent food at the resort's restaurant--which has the best sushi bar in the Bahamas! The marina was full but the boats left each day to go fishing, giving us the feeling we had our own private resort--then at night, we enjoyed swapping stories at Mackey's, which is Bimini Sands' lively bar. We can't wait to go back.
