This place is fantastic! Sure, some snobs wrote poor reviews on this place but that was because you didn't do your homework before you went. You want a place that will entertain your kids while you and Buffy look pretty for the tourists - go to Disney. No frills, not fancy or pretentious - which is fine with me. It is neat and clean, and the staff is friendly and respectful. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the area provides just enough to do between fishing trips each day. I'm not sure I'd bring my family there, but then again, I don't think that's what this place is for. Fish during the day, return to the dock, clean the boat, clean the fish, sit in the pool, mix up some rum drinks, shower and then hit Stuart's Conch Salad Stand, then the BBQ place on the way back (no name) for awesome Q and $3 rum drinks, then End of The World Bar. Notice I left out the Bimini Big Game Club.

The MOTEL hotel is in a good location to the islands local events going on. The hotel is right across a path to the beach which is beautiful, but be on the lookout for sharks this time of year (End of Summer). The rooms are gross, I wish I could give you a better opinion but if the shoe fits. The beds are horrible and ridden with bed bugs, the doors are not square which let's bugs into your room. I read another review like this before I left and didn't believe it, and stayed here, well I'm the --- and you will be to if you do the same. The hotel is in a great location but it needs a face lift bad, currently it is BRUTAL! If your staying in a slip in the marina, you will love it, if your staying in the hotel, you'll hate your experience. Stick to the newer hotels Bimini BIg Game Resort, and there will be a new hotel coming up that has time shares to rent that will be Brown's Hotel and Marina. The people on the island are very friendly, and very funny. The island is currently undergoing a lot of construction and it should be a lot better place to visit than it already is in a couple of years.

I have traveled to Bimini 4 times and have always had a great time. I do not go to stay locked in my hotel room. The Blue Water Marina is very inexpensive, granted it's not the Ritz Carlton but I was not expecting it to be at these prices. The people are always open and welcoming and the food is great. I always have a great time and plan on returning again and again. It's my favorite vacation spot.

I stayed in Bimini Blue Water resort in March of 2002. It was a quaint little place, but well maintained. No frills and cheap! We got to stay there for less than 90 bucks a night. We were there to SCUBA dive anyways. We got three full days of GREAT scuba diving with Bill and Nowdla Keefe at the Big Game resort. If you're looking for some great diving and GREAT service...go there. -------------- As for the hotel, the room was clean....no bugs....clean water, pool was clean, and great location. You can walk to any where on the island from here. Compleat Angler, which is a great hangout, is right next to the Blue Water resort. Another great bar is the End of the World Bar, which is farther north on the island, but still a very short walk. Most nights we went back and forth between the two. Try the Conch fritters at End of the World. The hotel has a pretty good view of the ocean, and is steps from an amazing, secluded beach, which is the best i've ever been to. Great for snorkeling. So, if you wanna go SCUBA dive and have a no frills cheap vacation, go to Bimini and stay here. If you wanna go a little better, go for the Bimini Big Game Resort or Bimini Sands resort. they're both good but expensive. They're better if you plan to stay at the resort all day every day. But we were out diving and at the beach and DRINKING, so we didn't spend much time at the hotel, so the Blue Water was a great choice. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.
