we were in abaco dec 4 thru 11 the weather was great
the unit we stayed in was super clean we were right on
the beach.... oh, wait i mean rocks! yes the place was
peaceful and quiet but when they say beach front it is more
like rock front. if you want beautiful beach try one of the cays
we did have a very nice time, although it is very expensive.
if you want to drink beer, take plenty of money ($50+ for
a case). life is slow and easy on abaco that's for sure.
relaxing time but i don't thinki'd make a second trip.

Just got back from the Regattas and Marsh Harbour.
We stay in unit 24,25 which has TV,DVD and a VCR. These two units are privately own and has been upgraded. a special treat was visiting George the Conch Man for the very best conch salad. The beach has not been clean up yet from the storms. But most of Marsh Harbour is back together. Don't forget to visit Pete' Pub on your visit. If you are interested in unit 24,25 over looking the light house call April 727.224.7647. She will be able to take care of you. Very relaxing

I have been to the Regattas for the past two years and planned my trip for this year...but hurricane Ivan nixed those plans so we won't be heading out. Hotel and Staff were great. Very peaceful, relaxing-none of our beach chairs were broken so not sure if that is something new. Only thing was that there used to be a restaurant or snack bar down by the pool but Hurricane Andrew in 92 blew that away and it was never fixed--last year it was finally gutted out and cleaned up but still not fixed. But that still doesn't change my mind about the place--love it.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Regattas. We had an incredible time and meet some great people--both guests and locals. As other reviews are quick to point out you won't find TVs and phones in your room, but who need them? We rented bikes for the week and were always finding something new to do. Our favorites were:

1. Fishing with T. We caught several grouper, snapper and even a barracuda.

2. Kayaking with Abaco Outback. We went on the half-day trip and snorkeled over a deep hole in a tidal creek, filled with coral and tropical fish!

3. Treasure Cay. One of the finest beaches in the world. It's well worth the drive.

4. Mermaid Reef. It's a short bike ride or a long walk from the Regattas. We went twice!

5. The Conch Out Bar. We walked across the street every night to play the 'ring game' and have some very strong drinks.

We'll go back!

Our thoughts are with everyone in Abaco who've just weathered two hurricanes. Hope all is well.
