Our group rented two villas, and while the location is wonderful -- water on both sides -- we were disappointed with cleanliness and value issues. For the rate ($225/night), it really would not have been too much to ask to have the beds made properly and the villa checked for dust and missing/out light bulbs. We arrived at 10pm after a long day, so were pretty outraged at opening the sofa bed to find the rumpled sheets of the previous occupant. The other beds were made, but had clearly been slept in before, as there was sand and hairs on the sheets. If it was not as late as it was, we would have left immediately. The kitchen was not very well cleaned either, but the following morning, we left a note for housekeeping asking them to clean and put fresh sheets on the beds -- all of which was done and the villa much cleaner than before.
Perhaps there was an oversight or comminication problem, but it would be reasonable to expect to arrive to a clean place. The location does make up for this though, as the villas are steps away from the water. Of the 6 villas, some are closer to the "beach" than others which have only a rocky shore in front. Beach is a loose term also, as depending on the tide levels, there may or may not be a beach. Definitely bring water shoes as there are rocks in the water too.
The villas are a short walk from "downtown" Marsh Harbour with restaurants and shopping. Renting a bicycle is a fun way to get around, with rentals available in town (also cars and scooters)
