We arrived on a Thursday around 5:00pm at Marsh Harbour Airport. The check-in/customers was quick and easy, no complaints. We caught a taxi and reached Albury's Ferry within minutes. The Ferry took us to Hope Town Harbour Lodge's back enterance.
My brother and I brought our significant others and met our families in Hope Town for our cousins wedding.
As soon as we arrived to HTHL, the office people were very nice and helpful. They walked up down to our cabanas....having looked on Tripadvisor and all over the internet to see what our cabanas looked like and where they were located "Ocean Front" really did NO justice. The Cabanas Literally had the BEST location!! The only and I mean only compalint I would have is that the shower was itty bitty not so pretty. Other than that, our porch, was perfect, the room was spacious, etc.
It was nice not having a TV in the room or even a telephone....OH ALSO NO NETWORK CONNECTIONS.... but all you have to do is use a computer upfront if you just HAVE to stay connected to the world. Also, we couldnt use our cellphones so all we had to do was pay $5 to make long distance calls from the office's portable phone to call home and check-in once a day. (IF NEEDED)
The beach here is amazing!!!! clear water, sandy ocean floors and coral reef all over the place. Now even though the reef wasnt all too colorful there was tremendous life there...schools of large blue tang and many fish. The snorkeling here is a must!!
I think the islands favorite dish was CONCH, they had Conch Fritters, Conch Burgers, etc...they were delicious.
My cousins had their wedding here and they did a gorgeous set up on the beach and a beautiful set up at the Reef Bar & Grill...beautiful!
My only complaint was that everything closed fairly early here, bars. And there were at least 10, 21-35 years olds looking to have fun.
OH AND TAKE A GOLF CART RIDE TO ---- TAHITI BEACH ---- !!!!

I love this place. It is beautiful, peaceful and an absolute treasure. Mike had our coffee ready at 7am and Gary had our drinks ready on demand. Loved the Baby Coda. The room was spacious, beds were great, and did I say the location was beautiful. The food at the Grill beside the pool was good. I really can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. I will be back.

My husband and I decided to take a quick getaway to the Bahamas, but had no idea where to go. Thanks to the helpful folks on Tripadvisor, we finally settled on the Hope Town Harbour Lodge. We could not have made a better choice.

We flew into Marsh Harbour in the late afternoon and caught the last ferry of the day to Elbow Cay. The ferry dropped us off right at the HTHL dock. Since we packed lightly, we simply carried our bags up the steps to the Lodge, though the staff offered to meet us at the dock to help with luggage. Tom checked us in and brought us to our ocean front cottage. It was lovely, clean, comfortable and very private. After settling in, we went for a delicious meal at the restaurant. The food was great and the service was very friendly. It was on the pricey side, but worth every penny. Fantastic menu and a great wine list too.

The next morning we were awakened by the sun rising over the horizon and right into our cottage. We threw open the french doors and stared out at the ocean and listened to the sounds of the waves. We've never experienced such a great view from bed!

The staff were truly superb. Tom is a wonderful host, attentive but relaxed and approachable. We felt truly welcome from the start. Every meal we had was delicious, and we absolutely loved the ocean front cottage. It's worth every penny! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

I could go on and on and on about how wonderful the entire place is. We're already planning our next trip...this time with the kids. Do yourself a favor and check out Hope Town and the Hope Town Harbour Lodge.

We had a wonderful time on Elbow Cay and will definetly come back as soon as possible! What a lovely island, lodge & town! Terrific beaches, great food... everything was perfect.
Watch out for Cap'n Jacks, The Hope Town Coffee House, Harbour's Edge Restaurant, Grille on da Beach & Sugar Shack. Rent a bike at Sundried T's and go to Tahiti Beach! We didn't like the Nipper's but Grabber's is fun! And the snorkeling, too, but be shure that the beaches on Elbow Cay are much better!!!!
