Awful experience, looks bad, smells bad, bugs, bad run down neighborhood, unsafe door locks, do not go to this place.

Stayed here for one week and we were happy but not pleased. We did a last minute exchange through interval, when we arrived the office was closed they are open from 8-5 do to being understaffed. Do you know how many people are looking for jobs or trades in the Bahamas? Put up a hiring ad and keep the office open 24 hours. The movies for check out there is nothing later than 1999 :( we ended up checking out a Jesus in galilee movie. They have independent tourist that are cheaper than the other tours but it is inconvenient when they don't take credit it's seems there is a charge for every little thing ride to the beach rt free but to port lucaya $4 one way to the butlers store which is somewhat like Costco is the only store they take you to no variety no good produce. You have to cook or pay them to drive you because the resort is not close to any eateries. This trip was very expensive...:(

It's a pleasure to drop those lines meaning a lot for me, we had a great time in Viva Hyndham Fortuna beach in Freeport Bahamas in July 2011 , I would like to thank all the staffs that been wonderful and welcoming especially show staffs ( Stephan, Andrew, Capi, KJ,Jaustin, and all the girls no exception ) also I wanna to thank Lakeissa at the front disk she is nice and helpful.
The cook chief Arthur very welcoming and nice help us all the time to get something that we can eat if they serve pork because we are Muslim.
I spent 10 days in the resort I had a great time I meet a lot of friends sincerely we enjoyed our stay at Viva Hyndham fortuna beach, it's a great place especially if you have kids they love it very safe.
No listen to others complainer that write a negative feedback because they wanna be treated as a king but you have to be flexible and easy going you will be surprise about service, the first time we got a room in the back (C) it was OK but not great we spent 2 nights and we went to the front disk and request a upgrade and we are so lucky we got assisted by one of wonderful staff (Lakeissa) she helped us and get a nice room with ocean-view, we love it , thanks a lot Lakeissa.
Just be positive and nice and you will get everything never bossy.

We stayed here for the first time in 2009 and like it so much we returned. It's not a fancy resort like Island Seas or the Radisson Our Lyucaya, but it is a great place to relax where the staff is very helpful and friendly, you can get to know the other resort guests, and no one will bother you to buy a timeshare. From free shuttles to the grocery store and Xanadu beach, cheap transportation to Lucaya and the Wednesday night fish frys, free internet in the reception area, to conch fritters and (the best!) Bahama mamas at happy hour, FRC has a lot to offer. You'll enjoy getting to know the friendly staff - Billy, Rochelle, Linda, and the others - and they are extremely helpful with everything from calling you a taxi to helping you make activity reservations. We will definitely be repeat customers.
